I've got an '01 X-Star. We have 250# under the front seats, 400# in the center locker &amp; 250# in each back side locker. When we ride we have everyone sit on the surfer's side of the boat(4+ more people). Last night we also added a 500# sac on top of the locker on the rider's side. <BR> <BR>The wake is killer on the port side, but when I try to surf on the starboard side (goofy) the wake is washed out and it sucks. Same speed (9.5) &amp; same turn of the boat. Is this caused by the direction that the prop spins??? I can't seem to figure it out.

It is caused by the prop rotation. You should still be able to surf on the starboard side though. From my experience, with other name brand boats, the speed is always different depending on which side of the boat you are trying to surf. You need to try different speeds. I would say start at about 8 and work up to 11 until you find the right speed for the starboard side. You may also want to try shifting the weight around some. It may take a while to find the setup but I am sure you will get it.

I have a 2004 X-2 and surf goofy, and the wake rocks out on the starboard side of the boat! I use a 300lb. under front right seat, KGB, rear 300lb. + 350lb. (in the back).. I run the boat at exactly 9.5 mph, if you go a hair over the wake washes out, Its ALL about the driver to get good wake. also... you should not have to turn the boat in circles, you should be able to go in a straight line the whole time....<img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/blush.gif" border=0>
