you know whats funny is they are bashing ford.
hi kettle you are black
love pot

juniorhawk 11-09-2007 3:43 PM

They even bashed me by name.

Sheeesh. My problem with Tige has WAY more to do with the dealer network misinforming walk-in "Joe Shmoe I want to be a wakeboarder" types than the actual boats themselves. Ok I have SOME issues with the 99-02 21 foot V-drives that I won't ever back off from, but I assume they are making a better boat now... right? They must be!

The all Black RZ2 is pretty freaking awesome looking, in my opinion. Assuming they are constantly improving on the build quality issues that power their bad reputation, they should begin to reverse some of the bad press they get. While they're at it they might want to examine that pricing structure.

Simply put, if Tige is able to charge 60k then Correct Craft and Master Craft of course feel obligated to charge 90k-100k for their boats. Look it up in some old Sales and Marketing book - I think it is called Perceived Value Pricing or something like that.

Its just funny how they discount the negative stuff from every source they find it. At some point don't you have to take at least *some* of it seriously? Or at least consider it as part of the research that goes into buying a boat?

I know I would. And have. And do. Thats why these forums are so useful for discussions like this. Its all about being an informed consumer.

If a brand comes up and a bunch of people come out to describe the weaknesses of that brand or a boat made under it - and a discussion happens naturally and turns somewhat negative it does raise eyebrows but it is because there are real reasons for these opinions. It's not like people are running around starting a threads titled "TIGE SUCKS COME SAY WHY HERE!!!". Those are called TROLLS and get deleted by a good forum admin because they are just going to cause trouble and serve no greater good.

(Message edited by juniorhawk on November 09, 2007)

nice work eric..very PC!!!Not to open a can of worms for all those lurkers..then agin its Friday...why not!!!...I totally agree with you that the dealer makes all teh difference...hmmm...tige dealer has questioned me \'why I would like my boat" and that I could "park it" inside their comparing model..I checked into the specs...it wouldn't fit...last year @ the boat show the female sales person..told my buddy she was "sorry to hear that" when he told her he owned a Malibu after she asked him what kind of boat he had...these sort of sales tactics do not interest me...nor does the blatent and pathetic attempt of one of their models to copy the look of the XSTAR...find your own NICHE and go with it...or at least admit attempts to follow a successful platform...then again...maybe it's just me..really end of the day..it'a leisure sports marketing...hence out passion for leisure and or toys!

SulMaxwell
I agree the dealer makes all the diferrence. My experience was the same except it was the Malibu dealer bashing on Tige, the other boat I was looking at. I hate those sales tactics also but it does not matter what your buying there is always a sales person who thinks they need to bash rather than sell the features of their product. I own a Tige because it was the best fit for my family and I for how we use it. I went in wanting to buy a Malibu but after demoing both the Tige fit my needs better. To me they are both great boats. No boat is going to fill 100% of your needs. Hopefully there is more good than bad.

As far as bashing on forums such as these, I do not mind people stating negative opinions on any product when they have first hand knowledge. It does get a little irritating when the bashers come out here heard something from a friend of a friend of a friend of of the drunk in the gutter. But then again this is the internet and you need to take everthing with a grain of salt.

As far as a blatent and pathetic attempt at copying, this is where the Xstar came from. When are we going to hear Mastercraft admit to copying?

Enjoy whatever boat you have with the people you care about. Thats the important thing!!

(Message edited by xpjim1 on November 09, 2007)

(Message edited by xpjim1 on November 09, 2007)

It's funny how all those Tige users hate WW so much. Yes, WW sucks blah blah. One of the dudes makes reference to a thread he started on the Malibu site where he was totally stirring the pot about Tige this and Tige that. One of the admins called him on it almost immediately and after he denied it once or twice the guy goes and blames it on his kid (yet the posts are coming from a Tige dealership?). And then back on that Tige thread he's claiming that he had to go and get the Admin of the Malibu site to nuke the thread (does it really take someone in Law school to figure out how to do this?). And then that Tige thread gets totally off topic because people over there hate Fords. And then some random little kid must seek acceptance because the users over there seem to think WW is full of eleventeen year olds, and he thinks he's different than the rest of 'em.

Doesn't sound any different than this website!

And for what it's worth: the dude that designed that Cobalt pickle left Cobalt and joined MC. That's where that all came from. Now does that mean that MC "stole" it? Well, it's all semantics from there...

50k for the tige featured in the tige owners origianl ww post was a $50,000 slalom ski boat.
if the wake your boat is putting out blows, don't show it off... you take gross women to dark movies, or dark bars....not out of everyone to see... wakes are the same way,

baschralper 11-09-2007 8:49 PM

Gekko rules all other brands anyways.

So, what's the problem?

Guys are a bunch of whiners, especially the NTAC, that wanted his post and profile removed.

05mobiuslsv 11-10-2007 9:17 PM

We are having fun talking about boats, those POS's trash people and insult them without reason. Biggest bunch of whiners I've ever seen on any forum anywhere. The Bu and MC guys get into it sometimes but it's usually all in jest, these guys are a bunch of wussies that have to resort to talking trash about people.
