Specs are X-1, V-drive sacs in the rear, factory fly-high in belly, 250 lbs in front walkway and 200lb guy in the bow at 21.6 mph

thinking about putting a 400lbs sac in the front as I feel without the extra weight in the front (person) the wake is too steep. especially with the fuel tank full. As this adds about 100 lbs

Any suggestions to make it better?

looks pretty freakin good. if i were you id add a full sac in the front(400ish lbs) and call it a day

That's a good looking wake from the one side.

X1 likes a lot of weight up front. The more the better IMO.

sorry don't have a pic handy with both sides.

That pic is with 3 people in the boat.

LOTS of weight up front. Keep the sack in the bow walk way and 2 sacks in the bow.

Hey Greg, I'm running the v-drive sacs, factory ski locker, integrated bow sac (200# or so), 260# lead plates on bow floor, and another v-drive sac on the bow floor. The wake is great, but too much for my ability. Lately, I've been running full ballast in the bow, and partially filling the rear sacs . . . still beefy, but more rampy.

Good luck.

3000 pounds

mike_gilbert 08-08-2007 12:19 PM

Id say bump your speed up 21.6 is pretty slow

oldschoolmalibu 08-08-2007 1:19 PM

looks good

migs 08-08-2007 1:26 PM

we got 3,000+lbs & ride at 25.5

I second the speed up. When you bump up to about 23-23.5, the wake gets very firm, and thats a good thing...

Also add boat likes weight up front. Add another 300 up there for sure and speed up a bit. It steep now because of the spped and lack of bow weight. with the extra weight up front it will firm it up and give it a nice solid predictable kick

I will try it out on the weekend hopefully.... got to make a trip to see if my Mastercraft dealer has a sac in stock.. I have this $50 coupon to use!!

Speeding up will help flatten the wake some. But it certainly isn't too steep as it is now.

jarrod 08-08-2007 9:21 PM

Speed up.

Speeding up will firm up the wake but also reduce the size unless you add weight. More weight up front = ramp & hardness, more in back softer & steeper.

Mine runs the V drive sacks and 2 6 gallon gas cans in the back (puny gas tank in the 205's), 6 pop bags in the cabin, stock center ballast, integrated bow sack and 14 pop bags in the bow walkway under the filler cushion.

About the slowest you can go fully loaded is 23.5 sweet spot is 24.5 to 25 @ 75 - 80 ft. Some ride it 85 @ 25.5. Great with 3 people, monster with 5 or more.

24.5 @ 75 ft.

25 @ 80 ft.
