What do you guys think about spraying the v-drive with this?
I noticed that all old v-drive boats, the v-drive, motor mounts, etc, are always rusted.
What do you guys think about spraying it with this? Someone said in a comment that he sprayed the bottom of his jetski with it also, what would happen if we sprayed our boats with it, or the propeller ? http://www.homedepot.com/p/Rust-Oleu...6#.UcRrtBoQ2Pk |
There are some guys trying that on their hydrofoils on another forum I am on. It looks interesting for sure. How awesome would it be if it gave boats better gph?

I would like to cover my whole Boat and No more Water Spots!!

I don't think it sprays on totally clear. In one of there videos it shows it on glass and it looks frosted.

Rustoleum must have bought out that company. There were videos roaming the net a short while ago on that product that were pretty amazing but it was advertised by some independent company. I guess the fact that Rustoleum seems to have bought it is pretty good indication it's a good product.

I think of one the big questions is, how long does it last? If it lasts a month... it's probably not worth the $20 it costs at Home Depot. If it lasts a year... I'm headed out there to get some today!

Looks like a perfect solution for an older boat cover. I have used the silicon based waterproofing sprays made for tents and they only hold up for a couple of weeks at best. My boat cover is getting old enough too where I wouldn't care if it left a little haze on it as long as it keeps the boat dry.

From this picture, the haze looks like its more noticeable on darker colors.
