Ways to weight a supra 24v?
 

So I'm looking for a way to ease back on the whole having to fill extra sacs in my 24v worlds. I am sick of having a soaking wet boat nearly constantly from having to fill them, so I'm looking at some upgrades to the stock ballast system to account for it.

I currently run a 750 in the back inbetween the seats, 200 or so under the passenger side to balance the driver, and another 600 in the walkthrough above the ski locker. The wake is pretty much dialed with that setup, but it's a pita filling the extra two sacs (i leave the 200 filled all the time).

I'm thinking of upgrading the rear bags to either the 750s or the 1100s (i wouldn't fill those all of the way though, I like getting on plane, but they would be nice for surfing), and then put a 650 lb bow sac under the seats up front.

The weight would be distributed differently, but since it's really just being shifted from more in the middle of the boat to the ends, would it balance out all the same? I really do have it dialed in almost perfectly and just don't want to mess that up. And when I say perfectly, I mean everyone that has ridden with me has put my wake in their top two wakes they've been on, so I'd rather not mess that up, hahaha.

Dave Briscoe runs a camp in central Florida and always had 24v supras.... wake was BIG.... I never say an extra sacs on the floor either - maybe shoot him a call or email to figure out his setup

1100s in the rear, bow sack up front with some lead in the very nose and then a ski locker sack (if you have one)... fill/dump the rears as needed to tweak the front/back ratio and to ease planing..

How are you going to fit a bow sac in and it be hidden. Does your boat not have the playpen front end?

Hey Nick, here's what I do. I messed with the ballast in my boat most of last year and finally got a good set up. I have 750's in the rear lockers and fill them full, the 1180 in the center locker is full, I took one of the factory 400lb sacs and wrapped it around the bow and fill it till it starts pushing up the seats, and added about 220 lbs of lead. 120 lbs of the lead is in the nose and the other helpls balance out the boat. Because of my prop I have the boat weighted heavier on the port side so the wake won't wash. I arrange the extra bow sac so the center part sags into the center ski locker to get more water in it. I haven't plumbed it in so I do empty/fill because it is hard enough to trailer it with the extra lead weight in the bow. We typically ride with three adults and a couple of kids, the wake plate 1/4 up, 23.7 mph and rope at 82.5.
