Not exactly new to the sport but am not a seasoned pro. i'd say i'm somewhere between intermediate and advanced. I picked this up rather easily in a rather short amount of time and i love every minute on the water. In my past experiences though, I have broken two kneeboards (that weren't mine, i felt really bad) and i am looking to invest in a board that can take some abuse. I weigh about 230 lbs. The two that i broke was the result of a bad landing from a wake jump. They were both Hydroslide's. one a Razorback, and the other was a much older HS from back in the day. I do believe they were both roto-molds. Would it be safe to say that i do believe i need to invest in a compression-molded board? I've been doing some research and it looks like that is the way to go. Any advice on a good board for me that wont cost an arm and a leg. I want to be able to get decent pop off the wake but would also like to have a board that doesnt sit too low in the water because i like implementing 360s in my rides. Hydroslide Kaos? i read somewhere that it is heavier but more buoyant and doesnt sit as low in the water. I am really looking hard at the top boards, Kaos, Joker, Lowrider, Rush, etc. Dont know much about the Jobe Prophecy. on the money issue, would the O'Brien Airageous be a decent choice? especially since it is compression molded? i can get one for about $170 at an Academy sports store near my home. Can anyone breakdown these boards for me and give me the pros and cons? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
