Hey, I know a few of you guys have the rise bindings, so here's a question for you. I cannot keep my laces tight when I'm riding. I'll cinch them down, and then they'll loosen a bit. Then, after I ride and land a jump or two, they are totally loose. It seems like it's because of the thin laces and the black plastic clamp piece. What do you guys do to keep yours tight? I've totally fallen out of my board a few times, or sometimes just halfway, which is killing my ankles.

Take them back to the pro shop you got them at and they can help you. They will either have some new laces there to swap out or they can get some from the factory.

If you push down the silver piece on top of the cinches it locks them in place.

Thanks!! I'll try the silver piece..

Some say to reverse the laces...

that's what i did to take the tension off the slider mechanism...hard to get into the first couple of times but after a few rides got them dialed. haven't budged since!

is this what you mean by reversing the laces?

http://www.fieggen.com/shoelace/DisplayShoeLacing0.gif

it took me a while to figure that out too... what people meant by reversing the laces... but what i think they mean is to completely undo all the laces, get them out. and instead of beginning to put them from the bottom up, do them from top to bottom, so know the part that you pull to tighten and the lock are on the bottom instead of the top. This is what I understood and it makes sense.. but if Im wrong, please someone correct me before people start changing their laces wrong!

Thanks for the post Cris;) Have you gotten your new Ronix setup yet? I'll try it out and see how it goes. Maybe I'll reverse all of them except the very last one with the cinch piece. Happy 4th!!
