Well my fam has started to look at some use Super Airs but don't think I can go with a used ride. <BR> <BR>one of the reasons is that I just can't fathom how people take care of their stuff. The few I have went and looked at have been dinged up. Dings will happen, but some of these dings are a little out of control. Also parts missing here and there...Latches broken. Those can be fixed no proble, but just makes you wonder what else they don't do or do to the boat. I know all these things can be taken care of easily, but guess I"m just selfish and want to put the dings on myself <IMG SRC="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/happy.gif" ALT=":-)" BORDER=0> ALso the interest rates and things of that sort on used compared to new are quite a bit different as well as it would be much easier to just trade my ride in as it's just not a popular boat company up here due to the dealership networks it's been through not the product itself. <BR> <BR>I guess I"m just anal about my ride, but I try to keep it looking as good in the tenth year as in the first. Accidents will happen no doubt, but don't see why people don't get them fixed. <BR> <BR>So we have narrowed our choices down on new rides to go check out at the boat show and see what kind of deals we can swing. Supra and Sanger are at the top. The 20SSV and 21V NEd a towable boat that will handle the rough water very nicely. The Supra's have the huge gunwales and roomy inside going for them, but I must say I don't like the fact that pretty much every Supra I've rode behind I have to take the rope in 5-10ft. Just seems to throw me off a bit, I'm sure I will be used to it if I own it, but that is just one of the things i don't like <BR> <BR>Only problem is the Sanger dealer here is so small that they never come to the show. They are also like almost 1.5hrs away and are a small dealer that doesn't have very many winter hrs. <BR>So was wondering what you all are paying for your V210's with PP, upgraded 3 bag ballast, tower and trailer. Obvisously the old 06 buyers guide kicks oiut some retail prices, but lets hear the real world price with the essential options. Any info would be great. <BR>One other quick question...I know they have a nice V so the ride is pretty smooth, but I've seen a couple on the water and it looks like their nose is a little low.....is it an illusion or do they tend to take water like an older comp boat? Just trying to get some info as I know it would be ideal to drive before you ride, but with the boat show coming up, weather just being crap and the dealer not having one, only a 215 left in stock, makes it damn near impossible to drive or ride behind. I have been behind a 215 and really liked the shape so I know the 210 won't be too much different, but it is a whole diferent mold up top and different gunwales for sure. Well who knows whats gonna happen when the time comes...just tossing around some options here always like to have a different one's. Guess the SWAT team will do that to ya <BR> <BR>Thanks

The 210 is a great boat. I know here in CA at the LA Show they are sold for $32k with PP, adjustable wake plate, tower, double axle trailer and the belly ballast. Pretty much rideable out the gate. Obviously its going to be a little different when you add all the options and I'm not sure how much our proximity to the factory affects the price but it is always the cheapest legit riding boat at the show. The 210 is very different from the 215, much lower gunwales and all together lower profile in general. My friends is ridin with a ton of weight. We don't have trouble with water over the bow as much as we have it come over the stern, if you pay attention its fine but just letting off the gas will throw a wall of water over the back. I don't know about L.A. but at the boat show up here in NorCal, 32 is a "lead in" price and does not include ANY options, just tower and front ballast. Also, I've never seen a V210 with a ride plate from the factory and my 06 does not have one either. 215 and 230 have them but not any 210's I've seen. As far as price, with everything you'll want like Black Scorpion engine, PP, board racks, bimini top, tower mirror mount, and rear ballast, you're looking at upper thirties to right around 40k + tax. I would'nt do any stereo from the dealer as your $'s will go farther by doing it yourself or have a shop do it later. All Ski Sanger's are based off the same hull with slight changes to width and length, and the top caps are also slightly different, but they pretty much ride and drive the same. The 210 is smaller and lower than it's big brothers, but it also requires less weight to produce a nice wake and it's wake is narrower than the bigger boats. It's really not fair to compare a SAN 210 to a V 210. I was in the same position last spring. I could have bought a loaded brand new 05 Sanger that the dealer was trying to get off his floor for 36k, or the boat I bought a 2000 SAN for 31k. After looking closely at the V 210 it really didn't hold up when compared to the SAN. <BR> <BR>The Sanger is a sweet price point boat with awesome hull construction, and it put's out a great wake. The downside for me was it's shallow draft, spartan interior, humped deck, and low free board. <BR> <BR>The SAN ride's higher off the water, the interior is much more plush, and the free board isn't as low. Also, if your looking for the most vert, and hardest wake, you can't find anything in it's class. <BR> <BR>If I had to chose between a new Sanger or a well taken care of SAN, I'd buy the SAN hands down. Jeff's boat is well known in the Nautique community, and it's a great example what can be found in the used SAN market if you look around.

KJ, can I ask why you are looking at the V210 rather then the V215?

The V210 is the best weight to wake ratio in the Sanger line. And it's the narrower wake also. I was also looking at the same two boats last spring. Used SAN and V210. All the decent SAN's were in the low to mid thirties, and these were 3 to 5 years old. The used V210's were gone as soon as they were advertised it seemed. I was able to hook a deal on a new V210 with the redesigned interior layout, full ballast front and rear, Black Scorp, racks, bimini, stainless rub rail, billet tower mirror mount, graphic upgrade, all for the same price. I guess the new boat appeal got to me because that's what I decided to do.

Sparky must have read my mind.......Also from my experience due the the fact that the V210 is narrower. That wake when I rode it a while ago seem to have a little more kick to it than the 215. The 215 was a bit more rampy. ALso price point is just too good to pass up. I do like the 215 as well.....Just trying to get some info before I go make a deal. Still got my eye out for a clen used nauty, but we'll see. <BR> <BR>Also handling for me is more important. though the nauty drives very well...the Sangers deep V puts it above the nauty. In the chop there is no comparison or through the d-ups. Sanger wins hands down in my eyes. <BR> <BR>For me the chance to own a brand new boat that you can baby is a great option. Not to say a clean used one isn't. Main downside is that the year nauty's that be in my price range are up to 2002. The ineriors IMO have a ton of wasted space and are also like a maze. Rides higher in the water than the Sanger and sits higher but the interiors are pretty close. Can't go wrong with the quality and performance though. The GT40 are imo the most durable/reliable engine on the market. Just depends on alot of things and am leaninig more towards the Sanger. New boats have their appeal. I know you will take a hit on price as soon as you pull off the dealer. But that particular model Sanger doesn't lose much. And I can honestly say I won't be buying another ride for a while after my mext one.
