They all look great especially the first one on that X-35

tommyg 04-12-2008 7:41 PM

diff'rent strokes for diff'rent folks. the only money I'd pay is to have those removed...

gti2lo 04-12-2008 7:42 PM

Looks sharp! Great for individuality!

squanta 04-13-2008 9:03 AM

04-13-2008 9:12 AM

duffmangt 04-13-2008 10:32 AM

how much does the first one cost? i like it a lot!

jpuckett 04-13-2008 10:52 AM

If I had to guess on the price it would be between two and three thousand dollars.

benjamin_74 04-13-2008 11:38 AM

Kyle, call your Local MC dealer, Pricing varies from site to site, based on proximity to the Installer, and size of your boat...

Ika, Chicken? haha

Thanks everyone!

b

newmy79 04-13-2008 12:20 PM

They look great, I especially like the first two. How are those things made and applied to the gelcoat? I'm curious

benjamin_74 04-13-2008 12:57 PM

Justin, they are printed on a $250,000 printer, then laminated and it takes about 20 man hours to install. The Vinyl is an new product from 3M, and was developed specifically for this application.

shawnk 04-13-2008 1:43 PM

Benjamin,
20 man hours to install? The guys came out and did the complete wrap on my X-Star in about 6 hours. Must have taken quite a few breaks.

dohboy 04-13-2008 2:12 PM

Shawn how many guys did it take to do the wrap? 3 guys 6 hours= 18 hours.

benjamin_74 04-13-2008 2:57 PM

Some are faster then others, the X-35 is big, and the backs are funky. How are you liking the wrap on your x-star?

shawnk 04-13-2008 4:29 PM

Benjamin,
I hear ya. I had two guys installing mine, so 12 hours total I guess. I was thinking more "actual" time. I am very happy with the wrap. Now if it would just fricken warm up so I could use it, that would be great!

whitlecj 04-14-2008 10:47 AM

Those look great.

benjamin_74 04-14-2008 12:51 PM

Ika, it's called loco, the one pictured we did for Hyperlite, it's a one off, but we had a lot of requests for it so we made a production version. Prob my favorite so far as well

On a X-2

popjpeg{568464,Upload}

Shawn, I hear you and the warm up, this is the view from my deck, Lake temp 40f... see the snow on the bottom right... good to hear you like the wrap!

That looks pretty dreamy to me. I've attached a picture my neighbor took this morning and e-mailed to me. The large crack down the middle wasn't their when I left for work. Open water soon I hope!?

JT

I hate ice

benjamin_74 04-14-2008 1:15 PM

YOU GOT ME JT. HAHA That was us 1,5 month ago... no thanks

tampawake 04-14-2008 2:03 PM

How is the vinyl different than the current 3M vinyl and laminate that the vehicle wrap market is using? Guess your using a flatbed printer or grand format machine of some sort what brand are you using and what dpi is it printed at? The wraps look good are they your designs that can be shipped anywhere to be installed?

benjamin_74 04-14-2008 5:21 PM

Tampawake

Vehicle wrap vinyl is what they call comply, it has air channels to allow for ease of installation and removal. It's not a permanent vinyl. This product is specifically designed, and the only vinyl approved for marine use. We have several printers strategically placed across the US and Canada, they are not flatbed, we can ship anywhere and provide warranted installations throughout the US and Canada. Contact your local MasterCraft Dealer for details in your area.

thanks

bill_airjunky 04-14-2008 8:32 PM

Hey Jeff,
At least you can finally see your DOCK!

The rain & wind we're about to enjoy should clear that ice for you soon!
