I cannot believe that I TOTALLY forgot it was even on....

That said, what a great win!!! I was VERY excited to read it in the paper this AM.

Yah I definitely thought Canada was going to pull it out with the momentum in OT. And DAMN that was a ballsy shot to take with a 2 on 1...near post up high! Either way I am glad our boys got the W and the gold. I felt bad watching the shootout with Campbell (I believe). He played so well all tourney until late into that game and the shootout.

was up there over the holidays & went to a couple of games...even got to meet Matt Donovan #4 - USA Defenseman.

I couldn't believe how poorly both starting goaltenders played. Then the US backup came in a rocked it. I agree with you M-dizzle, 2 on 1 break and he barely faked him, just fired near side, BAM!

As much as I resent losing the gold to you guys, it was a great game of hockey and I have to congratulate you on a good win.

I was watching the highlights again last night and noticed how the shooter took a quick glance at the goal on the way down then not again, even his shot was blind. I know goalies watch players eyes and puck position on the blade of the stick but damn! To thread the needle near side WITHOUT looking at the goal is pretty intense!
