Just don't expect miracles with this product...
Is this another attampt at a "software" based stablizer?

dakid 01-23-2006 5:28 PM

kung fu, on m2r pt5, in the beginning where hahn walks in and throughout the m2r bus, i applied the steadymove plugin. sure, it isn't a miracle worker, but it helps a lot at times!

so there!

You say "it isn't a miracle worker" and I say "don't expect miracles"

I heard at NABB that you will be able to buy a monitor oscillator that will offset shaky footage.
"I heard at NABB that you will be able to buy a monitor oscillator that will offset shaky footage. "

Wow what will they come up with next! I was watching supercross this weekend and they were showing helmet cam footage from a unit on McGrath, either he is riding a lot smoother these days or they have improved the technology there somehow from a few years ago, it was impressive.

thanks Joe, I found it... later

steadymove does degrade the footage some since it has to zoom in past the native dimensions of the project (720x480 usually). theres always some kind of downfall to something that seems really awesome. if you are just posting for the web, it wont really matter then.

"Wow what will they come up with next!"

An oscillating chair that will offset the monitor shaker...

I think it's a combo of the the two. If you get a chance to check out any of the latest standard snowboard flix.. The follow cam off the big kickers is butter smooth... now that's talent!

Kung Fu - I saw some of that footage the other day, and was amazed. I mean, the camera man is going off a huge ass kicker, the same kicker that the rider being filmed is throwing huge 9's off of, but the footage is rock solid. From the take off, to the landing, it looks like the camera is floating on a cloud.
