What are peoples thoughts on the Valhalla... I am looking for those that have currently ride it or have ridden it... I have used the Vision, Demented, and Player in the past... What would you compare with... and what do you like most... what dont you like?

Somebody said that the board would kill you if you rode it because it comes equipped with knives. I believe everything I read and that why I ride the Parks instead.

Seriously though, I am also interested in someone's(non O'Brien related) opinion of the Valhalla. I like continuous rocker boards and it sounds like it would fit my style.

Toolfan,
Here is a link to a completely unbiased review of the Valhalla:

http://www.wakeboarder.com/display.phtml?a=867

Maybe you could demo one and give us your own review? I think you might like it. Just watch out for the knives.

Kyle,
I have ridden all of the boards you mentioned above, and the Valhalla definitely evolved from the Demented. To me the Valhalla seems a little faster then the Demented, popped just as well and landed softer. I think the added speed comes from the Crook fins. They really allow you to get the board on edge and hold it all the way to the wake. If you liked the ride of the Demented you will love the Valhalla!

Later,
jjakober
JJakober,
thanks for sharing the review!

Unfortunately I live in BFE and cant demo much. I really would like to give that board a try. When Obrien releases the 06 line, I will jump of the 05 Vahalla. I havent ridden a modern (post 2002) Obrien board, so i really dont know what to expect. But when this board price drops, I will take the chance. Plus the graphics really whip the llamas @ss!

I rode a parks in 03 a premier in 04 and I'm currently looking for a new board in 05. I work at a board shop that deals Hype, CWB, and Obrien and the Valhalla is the best board I've ridden of them all. AND I GENERALLY DONT EVEN LIKE OBRIENS WAKEBOARD PRODUCTS!!!
