I have a set of Samson Double-up tower speakers which consist of two pods with each pod housing 2 midbass and 2 tweets. They are quick release and utilize a electric guitar jack to connect each pod to the tower. My question is since there is only 1 jack connection for each pod running all 4 (4ohm) speakers. What is my ohm load ? Is it still 4 ohms ? I'm going to be connecting a 4 channel Soundstream amp 125w x 4 @ 4ohms. Not sure if bridged to 2 channels or run to all 4 would be best

You only need to calculate the impedance of the mid bass. So, either 2 or 8 ohm per pod, two x 4 ohm in parallel or in series.

thanks for the reply Psyclone. One last question. Which would be best, 2 or 8 ohms ? If your amp is 2 ohm stable of course. Or is it all relative ?

2 ohms will make more power, 8 ohms will run cooler. 2 ohms shouldn't be a problem for amps these days. 1 ohm is pushing it, but 2 should be fine. The amps manual should say if it is stable to 2 ohms or not.
