Snap Button Tool - Any info?

I am looking for a plier type snap button tool. Are they all created equal? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

if you are refering to the tool to install snaps into a cover. you can get those at marine stores northern hydraulics or maybe even lowes or home depot. also craft stores would be a good possibility.

Thanks, I'll check into the crafts and marine stores. The Home Depot here doesn't have the plier type, so I have been looking online.

One like this is what you need: http://www.sailrite.com/Pres-N-Snap-Fastener-Tool

I borrowed one from Corinthian carpets when I replaced my snap in carpet. I had to install 45 snaps, it was a breeze with this tool. It would have been a nightmare with one of those hammer tools.

I bought the $30?? snap kit from west marine. Their pliers are junk. Go with the expensive ones if you can , if not borrow a pair.
