The Regal Session 22 Xi was one of two main wakeboard boats pulling a charity event in Windemere, Florida this past weekend. Boat Tree was a sponsoring dealer participating in the festival which also included a boat show. Most of the Pro Riders, who will be competing in the first Pro Tour stop in Orlando next weekend, were on site riding for the first time ever behind the Regal Session 22 Xi. Thousands of viewers were on site as nearly $50,000. was raised for charity distributed by the local rotary. The wakeboard tournament was a huge draw for the local event. <BR> <BR>The Pro Riders all agreed that the Regal Session provided a tournament perfect wake with only the factory ballast and judges in the boat. One of the judges didn't think it was even possible to have a boat provide such a great wake without having to add hundreds of pounds of additional lead weight. "This has never been done before," commented another judge. The Pachyderm Ballast System performed flawlessly! Another judge, riding in the Session during the tournament, questioned the chief judge why the Session couldn't pull every tournament all year long as it was so much more comfortable than every other wakeboard boat. <BR> <BR>One of the very top riders in the world, whose name you would recognize but I will not mention as he is sponsored by another company, could not believe how incredible the wake shape was as he performed very high end technical maneuvers behind the boat. Neither could he believe how amazing the seats were, especially his ride in the box seats. And when he heard the DVD surround sound, his jaw dropped to the floor and hung there for a full minute. The only thing he could say was uh uhhhh. <BR> <BR> <BR>Andy Hansen <BR>

over the top ads are so funny

Name one rider...show one picture...one shred of proof that what you are saying is not just more advertising hyperbole. Other than of course Trevor.

jlm 04-09-2003 11:40 AM

that's a great story...to describe a "poser" boat...

swpmwinc 04-09-2003 11:48 AM

When did WakeWorld start allowing press releases as new threads shame on you Andy

aneal000 04-09-2003 11:50 AM

Andy Hansen, isin't that the guy (obviously Trevor's day) that helped Regal design the boat... he has a lot of pride invested in that boat (not to mention $$$), the full page articel he wrote for WBM a while back was almost hard to read. Way, waaaayyy tooooo much! This guy is acting like he just invented toasted bread! I think this guy needs to calm down a little, take a few "chill" pills, put down the Marketing for Dummies book and give us some real world information that is sensible and can be backed up. Not this... "his name you would recognize" and "his jaw dropped to the floor" nonsense! <BR> <BR>The boat might be good, but I think we all need a third party to tell us that, not the boat's father.

The 2004 Air Palmetto also debuted this past weekend at the Southwest Missouri Central State Community College Tri-county charity wakeboard event. Many pros were on hand and were simply astonished by the maticulous lines of the boat, the AME 2000 glass, and the crisp, perfect wake. One judge said to another judge that this boat should be at all tri- county events. One of the almost very top riders of the world (also who's name we can't expose) said he would much rather Air Palmetto pay him to ride behind this boat. Pictures to follow...

tony neal hit the nail on the head, a remedial marketing class is in order for regal, most people who own wakeboard boats, or potential owners are trying to separate themselves from the lake boat crowd.

Im sorry did he say Regal? What the hell is a Regal?? Wait a minute, I will look it up...Hmmm? Websters says something "of notable excellence or magnificence" and something about being "suitable for a king" Well....nothing notable or magnificent in my recollection and I am certainly no King? Sounds like the weekend warriors have another runabout to park at the yacht club........But just for the record, I someday hope to have a "craft" that is "correct" or spend some time near the beach, like say... "Malibu" maybe? Or try to find that heavenly "X-Star" through my telescope...Until then, I will enjoy my many "sessions" behind my "<b><u>RIDERS EDITION</u></b>"....... <img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/biggrin.gif" border=0>

A reading from the Book Of Shameless Self Promotion: <BR> <BR>And one of the very top riders in the world, who's name we must not speak, proclaimed, "Thou shalt respect the Regal Session 22Xi, the saviour of men and the greatest wakeboard boat since the beginning of time and for time everlasting." <BR> <BR>"Halleluyah! Praise the Regal! Amen, Brother!" the judges did exclaim, "No longer shall our butts be sore for we have seen the box seats and the box seats are good. No longer shall we worship false wakeboard boats with names such as X-Star and Super Air!" <BR> <BR>(Message edited by salmon_tacos on April 09, 2003)

I thought the box seats were extremely uncomfortable! If I remember correctly, they were freeaking fiberglass with no cushion! This is a bit shameless.

i believe the pro rider saying uhhhh.......... but it was probably followed by who the hell would spend 50 grand on one of these!

I got to throughly go through the boat at a show in Portland a month ago. For a $54K price tag the boat was choppy looking, had a whimpy tower and looking at is from a distance it didn't still didn't have any appeal. It did have some cool features but it just didn't have that tournament boat feel to it. ?

ralph 04-10-2003 12:32 AM

Pachyderm what? Cool, how much do Pachyderm's weight, and where can I buy some, they sound sic!

aneal000 04-10-2003 7:08 AM

sealbeachkelly... I just noticed you own one of these boats, I also noticed you are in boat sales so we will have to take anything you say with a grain of salt, but why haven't you given us your opinion on your boat? Have you rode behind other inboards and how would you compare this boat?

bigdad 04-10-2003 9:23 AM

Don't you remember this guy. He tried to pump up the Session a couple of months ago. <BR> <BR><a href="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/3183/52954.html?1046716807" target="_blank">http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/3183/52954.html?1046716807</a>

AP, thanks for that link, I didn't see or read it the first time around. That is pretty funny. It is unbeliveable to me that a guy who says: "My riding/water skiing days are long over" can start off a conversation with: "This boat is hot, just took my first ride, the wake was the biggest and best I've ever ridden." Wait... I thought your riding/skiing days were long over... How long have you had that Session? I thought it was a new boat? Am I missing something here? Did you ride behind it or not? Are you lying to us in your first post? <BR> <BR>Wow, I feel sorry for Regal. They actually make a really good run-a-bout. I don't know how they are doing with this boat, does anyone know anyone who has bought one? I don't, our Malibu dealer is also a Regal dealer and they won't even order one in! <BR>

salmon_tacos 04-10-2003 11:07 AM

For all I know it could be a great boat but posts like Ms. Kelly's here will surely destroy any chance it has of getting any "street cred," or would it be "lake cred?" Reading stuff like this from owner/dealers just makes the thing seem really "uncool" like it's for poser retards or something. <BR> <BR>

exdeckboater2 04-10-2003 11:18 AM

I just went to the Regal site to check something out. Our local Regal dealer also sells Rinkers and Malibus. When I put in my zip and choose sport boats(17'-27'), they come up. When I choose the Session 22xi, the closest dealer to Round Rock, TX is in Johnston, IA. I guess the dealer here in Round Rock won't put the Sesson up against his Malibus either.

Wasn't Andy Hansen the one that said that Tiga Wakeboards were the best? Where are they now?
