Century is the best. If you can get the transmission out yourself I know a transmission shop that easily rebuild it. Getting it back in can be difficult. It is can be very hard to line back up. I use these when ever I am installing either a transmission or Vdrive: <BR> <BR><a href="http://www.victornet.com/subdepartments/Machinists-Jacks/281.html" target="_blank">Machinist's Jack</a> <BR> <BR>They make shaft and bolt hole alignment a snap!

Hey All, <BR>If any of you guys need a 3rd or even a 4th please take my crew out! I broke my leg and can't go out for at least 6 weeks (I can't board for like 6 months, but I'll be able to drive!). We trained Durty Curt how to hold the flag, fill the ballast, pull in the rope, drive a little, and clean the boat for over two years, he's top notch, pays his way, and is a good guy!! Lantz is also the BEST 2nd mate out there! I trust no one more when it comes to my boat (well maybe Century Marine) and having fun at the lake. Lantz is good at everything and basically keeps my but out of trouble! So someone please take these guys out! Love fest over!!

Yaz, <BR>Does the walk through metal detector go off or just the wand? I have a plate and 6 screws in my forearm and have only had a DMV one go off, never an airport... just curious.

i never went off (lol) until after 9/11 and some/all the equipment got upgraded. now i'd say 1 of 5 trips it goes off both in the detector and hand held wand. i just look at’em and say “i have a screw” as he/see stare at my elbow (short sleeve shirt) all confused, trying to determine if he/she should call the manager… now i just have fun with it, but careful as they don’t like jokes at the airport anymore… 9/11 this Friday - RIP all – lets not forget! <BR> <BR>i'm afraid to ask what you did!

haha...wow. <BR> <BR>Wands make mine go off, like I said, just the one walk through. <BR> <BR>Snowboarding- backside 180 on a big spine, came down a little of axis and put my left arm down. Sounded like a branch snapping, as friends near me heard it. Didnt come through the skin, but my arm looked pretty cool for a couple hours all crooked. <BR>Whats your war story? haha

New to this board, I have a boat but its a 20' baysuck, i'm re-rigging it for wakeboarding this winter(tower, platform, wrap sitting, paint, and PP)but that won't be until next spring(money). I have my own gear and looking to be a third, I can drive, clean and pay for gas. Looking for lake pleasant people since I live in the west valley. Can defiantly do week days. It's getting close but you can still launch off the ramp. 2nd dock is closed and as of right now the shore launching zone next to the main dock is marked off with no parking barriers

Yes, Century Marine on Main in Mesa. Century is a family owned business and they are in it for the long haul, three or four generations work there. Since they are in it for the long haul they work for repeat business. They care about the customer and it shows, they do good work at a reasonable price and pretty quickly too. I'm probably what you could call a pain in the butt customer, but they still treat me good. In my opinion, Century Marine is what boating is all about, friends and family and good times! As long as they will have me, I'll always have my boating needs met by them!

Ty, <BR>WATER is the problem!!! It's hard to get, and even harder to keep! Water is worth a fortune here in Arizona. With the amount of water that would be required to have good cable park a developer could build a nice lake community and make a heck of a lot more than they ever could on a cable park. If you really want a cable park the answer is with the City of Tempe. Develop a plan and have it built on Tempe Town Lake. That is the only way it will ever be built here in Arizona. Mesa Waveyard is dead and will NOT be built. Even in the real estate boom the only way it could be built was by making it an elite resort with timeshares, condos, etc... The other cable park that was planned in Casa Grande has gone bankrupt, we did the BK appraisal about a year ago. The demand isn't really there either. It might be with the people on here, but when school is session no one will be there. Heck, <a href="http://www.azcentral.com/business/articles/2009/09/02/20090902biz-bigsurf0903.html" target="_blank">Big Surf</a> is even closing after 41 years in business... <BR> <BR>Water is worth its weight in gold in the desert!

Seems like it could generate some income being so close to ASU. <BR>When you talk about water being expensive, you're referring to the cost to keep it full due to evaporation and other natural causes of it depleting? <BR> <BR>I've frequented a private lake way out in surprise a homeowner built in his "backyard". If he can do it, and personally eat the costs involved to maintain it, I cant imagine a city or town couldnt while charging at the same time. Ty, <BR>Do a search for water rights and water law in Arizona. The property that you talk about in Surprise probably has a grandfathered well. Went to the Century marine sale and got a few things, a couple banners, shirts, ect. Wanted to walk walk away with their demo SAN 230. Great deal, but alas no funds. Also scheduled a service, so we will see if they fix my mysterious no start when warm issue.

Anyone looking for a good deal on a 2007 MasterCraft X2 (45,500 with warranty still), I just put mine up for sale. That price should beat most that are posting the same boat on the Internet. With a new baby here, we don't use the boat as much as we want to and selling it until the kids get a little older. I wish I could but I have to work this weekend and next then they are shipping us off to Saltlake city Utah to work will be up there most of the summer. Should get some good snowboarding in and once it warms up the lakes are really close and not crowded at all. So not a total loss will just miss all the people I ride with in Az.

Durty, another regular on my boat, can throw down though... he can do sevens pretty consistently and just landed a double tantrum this week. So if you want to come out, just hit me up! I will probably be out this Sat on Bartlett on a friends Moomba...I'll look for you Sam and I'd like to come out w you guys sometime. I bought my board/bindings/jacket last year and only got to use them twice (no boat!)

We are always looking for more regulars... most people don't like the way we do the lake. We go all day and won't go to the dock a hundred times so you can't come and go as you please. In the winter we leave from my house at 8 AM, go to the gas station and grocery store and then drive up the lake. We usually get to the ramp about 10AM and then go till dark, the boat runs out of gas, or EVERYONE wants to go home. Then we usually head to either Harold's in Cave Creek or Jalapeno Inferno in Scottsdale afterwards for dinner. We don't get home until late. If you want to meet us at the ramp you can, but we will not drop you off at the dock at noon or any other time. You can either swim to the dock or stay with us the entire day. In the summer we leave at either 5 or 6.

Me and my gf just moved to Tempe from Oregon and would like to get out on the lakes now that it's getting warm. We're always down to pay our share of gas and launch fees, etc...I recently sold my Air Nautique so I know how much owning and operating a boat really costs. We're not pros by any means but we have been riding for several years. We'd love to ride with anyone that is willing to bring us on their boat, be it a 4 cylinder bayliner or brand new X-star, we're not picky, we just love to be on the water and would truly appreciate anyone willing to give us a pull!
