Hey, i been looking at different loan rates. One rate was 13.5 for boats newer than 99 under 20,000. is this normal? what are other people getting?

7.99% at my credit union for 2000 and newer......

duffymahoney 05-22-2009 8:59 AM

I got 5.99 at my credit union on my 03 avalanche. I had to put down 20% and I have good credit.

I got a rate of 5.25% for 15 years, 0 down from B of A two months ago on a '06 24v. That was through their dealer services, if i went striaght to B of A it would have been 7.25%.
the dealers still have some pull with the lenders.
My credit rating is in the 800's so that will make a huge diffrence.

Just looked at my credit union 7.75%

4.6 on a five year. I put 80% down though.

gregg_rossi 05-26-2009 2:18 PM

7.49% in OR on 2007 or newer I think.

I'm hopefully about to buy a boat. the lender told me today that my paperwork should be cleared tomorrow and my loan approved. so far, they said everything looks great. she didn't know interest rate yet..which makes me a little nervous. if she comes back with a rate over 7.9 it will be a deal breaker. i have around a 720 score. what do you think?? the anticipation is killing me.haha

7.9 at US Bank...didn't have to put anything down, but I did just to lower my payment.
