I'm thinking about picking this player up and I'm wondering if anyone else has one. I can buy it for $229 at the Sony Outlet store near my house.
http://www.sonystyle.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP.enfinity/eCS/Store/en/-/USD/SY_DisplayProductInformation-Start?ProductSKU=NWHD5SILVER&Dept=audio&Ca tegoryName=pa_DigitalMusicPlayers_Network

I have been using a Sony Net MD Player for years so I am familiar with the recording format and Sony's online music store. Plus, I just can't bring myself to buy an iPod.

Any help would be appreciated.

i was looking into that player. it was either that one or sony's 1gig flash player. i opted for the flash player since its smaller and flash based (i use it for excercising). i did like a bunch of the features like the removable battery that still lasts 40 hours, and also how if you drop it the hard drive will automatically stop spinning thus making it less likely to die from accidental droppage.

the one thing i dont like is the software to transfer files from computer to player. its absolutely terrible. then again if youve had a sony player before you might be more familiar with their type of software and you may not mind it so much.

all in all if i was going to pick up a 20 gig player right now thats the one i'd get.
