I want to move the battery on my boat from the port to the starboard locker. Can you use battery cables from an auto store or buy cables from a home depot or do you need marine specific cables, and if so where do I get them. Any help would be great.

Marine wire is more costly, is tinned, and is generaly only needed around salt water. Un-tinned automotive type wire is what the majority of tow boats come with from the manufacturer. It's your choice.
