Complete boat Sound System
 

So right now, I have some kicker (tweeter not coax) and 2 Wet souunds on the tower. A kicker 12" sub. and 2 1200 watt alpine 4 channel amps. Sounds great in the boat with half volume, but cant hear it while riding. If we turn it up loud enough to hear it while on the wake. It sounds like ****. Spoke with a local stereo install company here. He recommends spending 1500-2k on a complete setup. :/ His thoughts. - Massive audio mids and Highs, Massive audio Horn, Massive audio custom tower speakers 4 of them. and a new deck. Keep the amps. What are everyone's thoughts? Last time i knew anything about stereo systems, i was 16 and that was 10 yrs ago. lol I highly doubt i should but audiobauns in it. lol

My advice, if you know a little bit about wiring and are okay with tools, tackle the install yourself and save money. You don't need to do the whole thing at once. BTW, your tower setup is the only thing you'll hear wakeboarding so upgrading the in boat stuff to hear at wakeboarding distance is a waste. Also, just add two more wetsounds with a amp thats best suited for them and you'll hear your music no problem.

Not sure on the Model, I know they are not Coax, so they arent the ones i need. So I'm told anyway. They came in the boat.

Beware of "local stereo guy", often times they know what sounds good in cars and from a tower sitting in the lot but on the water behind a boat is a whole different animal.

Just to clarify, coax are not ideal for hearing behind the boat, horns are. If you have Wetsounds horns and they are powered properly you should probably be able to hear them behind the boat.

Call us at 877-938-7757. Talk with Simon or Omar. Let them find you a shop that specializes in marine audio. For a shop to recommend paper cone car audio PA stuff in a boat. Shows that they do not understand marine audio. I cant tell you how many times we have seen screws through the side of the hull and subs loaded in engine compartments from car audio shops that don't understand boats.

From your pic in your profile. You have a single set of XS-65 or XS-650 in a set of monster cans on the tower. These are our in boats and work great for towers if all you want is tunes around the boat. But one set is not going to get sound to the rider. It is not what they are designed for

If you want to hear the sound when you ride. You will want to step into our HLCD tower speakers. One set of REV 8 or REV 10 will get the job done. You could look at just doing one set of REV 10. And depending on the amp. Bridge the 4 ch to 2 ch and possibly have enough power. But most likely power is not going to be there.

What is the complete layout? Are you happy with the bass? Sounds like tower is the biggest complaint right now. So starting there. Adding a set of REV 10, possibly re using one of the amps or adding a new amp like the SYN-4. Next step. look at adding a EQ line driver. WS-420 SQ This will boost the voltage to the amps and also give you the ability to fine tune the system and have separate controls for the tower, boat and sub. After those steps are done. Then either in boats or subs.
