I use the fat sac quick connects and was considering cementing the piece that screws into the sac to make it solid. Any ideas to get a solid connection without making it permanent? Also, when I got them there was a coating of grease(?) which keeps the o-rings flexible. What kind of grease is that?

Multi purpose pvc cement. I called fly high and that is what they recommened it will release with hair dryer heat. as far as the grease on o-ring no ideas but if you call them they have excellent customer service

Typically vaseline is used on o-rings for that type of environment.

go to a pool store and get some o-ring lube it works great

Vaseline, being petroleum based, will cause the rubber to swell, use pure silicone paste

I used marine 5200 by 3m

yeah o-ring lube from home depot will work on the o-ring. Put a few wraps of teflon tape around the threads and then screw it in. You'll be able to unscrew it by hand but it wont come undone and will be completely water tight.

I was told to use rubber cement and o-ring lube.
