NICE! thanks for sharing! Brings back memories of being on the "Black Creek" in my teens.

duffy 04-28-2008 12:35 PM

No problem, I wish everyone could experience this place. It truly is amazing even the pics can not describe it.

greatdane 04-28-2008 12:50 PM

Duffy, I enjoyed your pics. Nice looking river. Rivers are the best for wakeboarding.

wakeguru 04-28-2008 1:09 PM

sweet 'setter. weather was so nice. we've got a group of wakeboats and others heading to the glen for memorial day weekend. sunday is the plan. if you've never been on a holiday weekend you ain't seen nuthin yet. lol got to get out early for the good water, but the party is insane.

thanks for the pics - this chick can ride.

duffy 04-28-2008 4:35 PM

Next trip I would like to get a professional photographer and take some video.

steve_jones 04-28-2008 5:38 PM

Man with all the crazy jet-skiers, sharks, and fisherman with shotguns, I'm surprised you went there. Wow...you are brave. That and the wind is killer there.

srock 04-29-2008 5:25 AM

The great thing about the Astor area is that the combination of National Forest, State Forest, wetlands, and for the nervous a strong gator population, will always provide great riding. Also, its not a destination place for riding because there are so many other options in Central Florida.

dreevs 04-29-2008 5:48 AM

Great pics!!

eric_ms 04-29-2008 6:58 AM

great pics.... but then again ya'll suck. that is where I learned and grew up riding. There is nothing better than the warm, dark, glassy st. johns. I have not ridin there and like 4 years and after seeing thise pics it just makes me want to move back to the sunshine state....

ericlassiter 04-29-2008 2:29 PM

kwanx is that you?

depswa 04-29-2008 2:47 PM

See any Gators out there? I've heard rivers are really heavily populated. With all this Shark attack business lately...I think I'm going to stick to bodies of water where I'm at the top of the food chain!

roughrivermike 04-29-2008 2:49 PM

Very nice pics. My favorites were 126-129. If that is your lady, you are one lucky guy.

duffy 04-29-2008 2:49 PM

Eric, I don't think he comes on here much if at all, but it's him.

kko13 04-29-2008 3:43 PM

looks like good times! what is in picture 58?

srock 04-29-2008 3:49 PM

Dan, Ironically enough in 2006 a girl was killed in Juniper Springs which is just South of the glen and just around the corner to the south of the Jungle Den a kid was grabbed by the leg and pulled into the water.

Not to worry though because gators don't like the sound of a running boat.

dreevs 04-30-2008 7:33 AM

Whats up Mike - hows Rough River? I used to ride there all the time when I lived in Louisville. Rough and Taylorsville Lake - man those were good times.
Yep - have to agree 126-129 look great on my boat...

Sweet trip. Sorry I missed it.

July 4-6 we are looking into renting a houseboat and tow the wakeboats as well. Right now we got 6 people on the boat. Does anyone else want to go?

(Message edited by 02ssv on April 30, 2008)

roughrivermike 04-30-2008 8:04 AM

Both lakes are a little high right now. we have been out on rough about 5 times so far this year. You have a nice looking boat, but I doubt it has ever looked better!

whitlecj 04-30-2008 8:12 AM

Nice pics. You guys do a great job even without a professional photographer.

lfxstar 04-30-2008 8:12 AM

St. Johns river scares the hell out of me, so many gators

charman 04-30-2008 8:19 AM

mxflyer281 04-30-2008 12:11 PM

dreevs 04-30-2008 1:01 PM

Yep, it looked fricken GREAT that day!

mxflyer281 04-30-2008 9:38 PM

Yah figures thinking about going out to Weir in the next couple weekends if I have off. You guy out there about every weekend?

duffy 05-01-2008 4:57 AM

Matt. Why in the hell would you go to Weir when you have all that butter?

eric_ms 05-01-2008 6:44 AM

hell I wish there were more gators so there would be less people riding. that said if the people knew how many gators are in the river and how big they are there would be glass all the time.....

dreevs 05-01-2008 6:48 AM

Yeah we go every weekend - come on out, its a nice lake. Do you live at the St Johns? I would assume you are looking for a change by coming to Lake Weir because the St Johns was SWEET for riding.
Ill be in Houston the next two weekends (riding with some locals - comp Saturday) then Lake Weir the weekend of the 17th and then down in the Keys riding over Memorial Day. Come on out the 17th or drag that boat to Key Largo over Memorial Day!

mxflyer281 05-01-2008 7:52 PM

Yah I live in deland which is like 5-10 min away. Just looking for some people to ride with that got some stoke for the sport nothing against the people that come out with me now but every now and then I like to ride with some people that r'nt just starting out to push me and such.

dreevs 05-01-2008 9:26 PM

Come on out man!
