I am thinking about trading in the 2002 MC X-10 for a new X-15. There don't seem to be a ton of people out there with X-15s. What are the reviews from people who have them.

Also what are the major differences between an 02 X-10 and an 07 X-15?

Pics of X-15s with different color combos would be awesome too.

Thanks!

Check out the classifieds. A guy has one on there that looks pretty sweet. Sorry never riden behind one.

Very nice boat and would be a great upgrade from your X 10. The X 10 wake was a little round in shape and didn't handle the rough water as well as the X 15 does. My friends have one and we spend more time on their boat than our own. We constantly have 9 people on it and are not crowded. We wakeboard (intermediate level), wakesurf (sack it out for even more fun) and even slalom with the plate down.

Christy,
Thats awesome. Do you have any specifics on how the two boats are different?

awl 07-31-2007 7:40 PM

Roomer has it the X-15 throws a killer surf wake. My local dealer claims that the X15 has become their boat of choice for wakesurfing. I will see for myself this week after a test run. I'll be comparing it to my X-45. I'll let let you know how it goes.

Christy is 100% correct in all of her statements. We have had ours since August of last year and have no regrets. Have never been behind it on a ski but it is great for boarding, wakeskate and a great surf boat. The amount of storage space is unbelievable.

Tried to edit my post to properly spell RUMOR!!! Sorry.

Very popular boat for all activities with our staff and our customers.

Huge storage and a ton of room for everyone, good looking boat on the water too.

Great surf wake, really nice wake stock, sick if you add a sac or two.

wake4fun 08-01-2007 10:00 AM

Ben,
Wake shape is completely different. Nice ramp with a decent lip at the top. You might at first think it is too wide but start 5' shorter than on your X 10 and with a few rides you will be right back out at the length you usually ride. I can now clear no problem at 70' 23 mph and I started at 65'. The plate helps shape the wake on top of filling the ballast. For the little kids we leave the plate down and no ballast. All the adults/older kids like the plate all the way up and fill up the ballast.
The amount of overall room in the boat is amazing. Like I said it has become the boat of choice among a group of friends that have towboats of all makes and sizes.

Good stuff.
Are there any major engine changes between the two boats or changes in the throttle or anything major like that?

If you have them I'd love to see some pics too

I have an 06 MC X15 and i love it! I don't know much between the X10 and the X15 but i would recommend the X15 to anyone. It has tons of storage, throws a great wake, throws a great surfwake on port side and alot more. The surf wake on port is SWEET. I have not added any additional weight but can definately see a big possibility for a HUGE wake. Strb side needs some more weight to get a clean wake but if i get one of my friends to lean off the boat it makes a big difference and cleans it up alot so added weight to this side could be very benificial. The wake for wakeboarding is great. I have riden behind my friends 07 VLX and then the following day rode behind my boat and not being byist at all but i liked my wake better. The VLX was real steep and it kicked me off ballance almost everytime and the X15 has a little smoother transition for me. Now my friend just got his VLX and might not have had his wake dialled in. I would recommend getting the MCX motor upgrade though. Having 14 people in the boat you kind of need it. Did I mention that there is TONS of room in the boat. We had 14 people on it one time and 3 coolers and people were still getting around. I would buy the boat again

Josh

Coming from a dad, it has a ton of storage, is very comfortable, and according to my teenage kids and their friends, it has a great wake. Mine is a saltwater series with a 330hp but I too would go with a motor upgrade. The X-15 is quite a bit bigger than the X-10.

trevorcurry 08-21-2007 11:07 PM

All I know is that from the pictures, the X-15 is a great looking boat.

bullit4888 08-21-2007 11:52 PM

I'll agree with everyone else's comment. It is a great boat. It also throws a very good surf wake. Mine is also a saltwater series and i have the 6.0L crusader with 375 hp and it seems to be the perfect match for that boat.

wakedude83 08-22-2007 7:17 AM

I've never ridden an X-10 but I have ridden the 15 many times and the wake is awesome. It has a smooth ramp and a lip at the top. The wake is pretty unique in that you can charge it easily or use it for poppy wake 2 wake tricks. Also very roomy inside.

gti2lo 08-22-2007 6:07 PM

Anyone have a pic of the wake?

Everyone is talking about the wake yet no one is showing a picture....

bullit4888 08-22-2007 6:32 PM

Here's the only decent pic i have of the wake. i'll try to get some better ones. the boat is going approximitly 22 mph with stock ballast, driver, and observer and the rider is at 70 feet. here are a few surfing pics as well with just stock ballast and a few people.

driver_dad 08-22-2007 9:13 PM

These aren't very good but they're the best I could find -- just me in the boat with stock ballast.

That boat sits so high out of the water; seems like you could slam it with a ton of weight...
