Surf was 500 port rear hatch and 750 on the seat

Maybe I missed it, but how much is the "factory" ballast? It's not listed on mastercrafts website but I remember seeing some state that the factory ballast was 2000lbs.

I guess the real question is how much total weight was the boat running for these pictures?

craigtxmc 08-28-2012 12:44 PM

I was told 1800 & 2000 lbs factory. Plus the above amounts.

So you Make a post about a boat that never existed .I call you on it and its my bad?
Rest assured I have no thoughts about you.

hco 08-28-2012 8:19 PM

Referenced the 2012 line in general, every stab you take at the MC lineup is based on a bunch of QC issues in 2012, and are already fixed for 2013.

So what did they fix in 2013?

TroyD 08-28-2012 9:17 PM

Hahaha I love my little puppet MHunter. I don't even need to insult him anymore he just opens his mouth and his horrible syntax and poor reasoning skills do more harm than I ever could.

TroyD 08-28-2012 9:18 PM

I'm going to call him into that new G thread....let's see him tarnish the G name over there too.

hco 08-29-2012 10:23 AM

Mhunter, changed the power tower, went to murphy screens, no plug & play anymore. All 2012 problems were related to the touchscreens essentially.

Good to know I hope that takes care of it?

Has CC taken care of the exploding tranny issues yet? Have they taken care of the other issue, that is, how to sell this boat? Apparently, 2nd biggest CC dealer in world up in Canada has only sold 4 this year and has only 7 slots for next year.

This boat is such a "game changer." Hard to recoup your R&D dollars when your biggest dealers can't even sell what you can count on your hands.

mhunter 08-29-2012 8:20 PM

Where do you get your information from??

Maybe it's just me, but I'd rather know what the top few US dealers are doing...

2nd biggest boat dealer in Canada may only sell 10 total boats per year with their short seasons for I know....

snork 08-30-2012 6:10 AM

Really like the red and black XStar TXMC has, can't wait to throw down behind her.
Where do you plan'n on put'n her in this weekend Craig

craigtxmc 08-30-2012 11:01 AM

Swing by the shop Mark, I'll drag you around a bit...

I think that 7.4 is going to be here tomorrow afternoon so i better take it out this weekend to see wussup..

I believe he is referring to the 2nd largest CC Dealer in the World... Happens to be our dealer here in Alberta. Not sure who number 1 is? And they happen to be the number 1 dealer for Malibu Worldwide as well...

pennery 08-30-2012 11:13 AM

Love the Color combo on that X-Star Craig. I am a Red fan...

I am assuming you can run the boat with the Screen in the retracted position? That would make for great visibility out the windshield...

runin90lx 08-30-2012 11:27 AM

i told Mike yall need to bring one of those out to east texas :)

craigtxmc 08-30-2012 11:58 AM

@ RPenner Yes sir, you can run the boat with the power dash in the down position. It comes up after a few seconds when you start the boat but it can manually lowered.

@Bill Is there any water in Cypress Springs?

runin90lx 08-30-2012 12:41 PM

ive never been there so im not sure? we always go to lake tyler or up to broken bow

craigtxmc 08-30-2012 1:22 PM

Lake Tyler is nice too.. I like the concrete channel passage way.. lol I sold a 525hp pontoon boat there a few years back so if you get passed at 70mph you'll know where it came from. That thing had racing exhaust and was louder than most Fountains.. The guy that owns it has a super nice Newell bus that he keeps in his garage there at the lake. The garage has an automatic washing system that comes out of the walls and washes the bus every 2 days with ionized water so it doesn't leave spots... lol Only in Texas!!!

08-30-2012 1:24 PM

^^^Did you notice if this guy has a daughter? Im still looking:)

Number one MC dealer in world is based out of Calgary in Alberta as well. Calgary is only a few hundred miles from me.

Actually Edmonton is the largest mover of MCs. They also have locations in Calgary, Kelowna, Sakatoon, and one other place north of me.

Troy, where are you located?

bjames 08-30-2012 3:26 PM

Oh, and Saskatoon is where they sold Rusty Malinoski's custom X-Star sporting his wrap including his ballast setup and his Rock Star enery drink decals. They just sold it last month. It was pretty slammed, it had like 433 hours on it.

Coeur D'Alene, Idaho. Plenty of Canadians around here who come from Alberta. I guess everyone up there is loaded. I've talked to both Martin Motorsports in Calgary and Wizard Lake Marine in Edmonton I think.

snork 08-30-2012 4:27 PM

Guessing the TCU color XStar will find its home on lake Tyler.
What color 7.4 XStar

craigtxmc 08-30-2012 7:36 PM

That black and red is a nice looking boat Craig!

polarbill 08-31-2012 2:41 PM

As always, tremendous work Craig. I would love to see either of those black/red ones sitting in the water. Especially slumped out. There was absolutely no boat sexier boat then the 2003-2011 Xstar slumped on the water.

I just need to secure a small build-a-boat deposit from you Mark and I'll have it here in October.. lol

Michigantim22 08-31-2012 4:31 PM

That Star looks flat out fantastic on the water! Sweet, sweet, sweet! Leaving the comparison to only this one criteria, the Star beats the tugboat, I mean G23, hands down.

ncsuuh 08-31-2012 8:14 PM

Craig- great looking boats man. Love the combinations. Might be a stupid question, but are all these boats sold already? Just out of curiosity. Lovin the TCU colors.

craigtxmc 08-31-2012 8:29 PM

The TCU boat is the only one sold in this group right now..

Let me say - this boat looks even better in person....

Nice job Craig - great seeing you guys today.

simplej 09-01-2012 9:42 AM

This thing makes the g23 look like a pregnant Moomba. The g23 wake may be king, but this is a far sexier boat

simplej 09-01-2012 9:45 AM

This, the z3/rzr and x30/10 must be the best looking boats I've seen come out in years...

polarbill 10-12-2012 2:19 PM

Once again you guys hit it out of the park. I asked for it on the last one but water pic please.

canucked 10-12-2012 2:21 PM

beautiful colour combo. I love the grey.

dhill 10-12-2012 2:22 PM

great looking boat! curious, why not go black on the "mastercraft" to make it easier to see? maybe in person it is???

craigtxmc 10-12-2012 2:27 PM

thanks Brett... I can't be gettin water spots all over that boat man. lol
Dude, our lake is so low right now it will high center the trailer coming out of the ramp...

DHill, the graphic just sort of came in blue. I didn't realize it would be the same as the rear of the boat. It actually looks kinda cool in person. Everyone at the shop loved the colors on this one. I figured it would be different when i punched it in.. The trailer was the only unknown. I hadn't done one like that yet.. Sometimes you just have to gamble!

wakebrdjay 10-12-2012 2:33 PM

Sharp boat,nice job.

kskonn 10-15-2012 7:01 AM

alright so by my count that is already at least 6 Stars sold in texas. I have seen 3 come through Texas ski ranch, with another 2 on the way. These boats are sick. I think the thing that most blew me away was how simple these boats are in the interior. They are just smooth and sexy, it is not chunky and gauty inside. things are just hidden away until needed, really bad ass.

wakebordr11 10-15-2012 11:26 AM

That blue and black boat is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen.

slowwwflowww 11-01-2012 2:31 PM

That black and blue x-star is sweeeeet!!

willyt 11-02-2012 8:27 AM

craig,
that lime green/black/grey star is definitely the best color combo i've seen so far. I know its not a standard color, but would they let you order one with the green flake as on travis' boat last year? that setup with the green flake would be out of control...

oh, and please please please powdercoat the tower lime green/black...

Nordicron 11-02-2012 9:42 AM

So if they are at dealers and 6 sold in TX what do they cost? Is $160 or not?

ixfe 11-02-2012 11:30 AM

Craig - How come none of these X-Stars have the power tower? You'd think the flagship tower would be a popular feature on the flagship boat... certainly boats with all the bells and whistles as these appear to have. I mean, why get a 7.4L motor (can't even fathom what that costs), but skip on the power tower?

Or is this what the new power tower looks like? Or has MC stopped making it altogether? I'm confused... What's the scoop?

wakedaveup 11-02-2012 12:12 PM

DBC- I think those all have power towers. You can see the hydraulic arms.

thats not the power tower, all MC's towers have the "shock absorbers" on the tower

11-02-2012 1:06 PM

Wake looks better. Water looks superb
http://img.tapatalk.com/d/12/11/03/9uge2y2e.jpg

wakedaveup 11-02-2012 1:13 PM

My mistake, arms looked like hydraulics. So do they still have the power tower or did they phase it out.

MICAH_HARPER 11-02-2012 2:19 PM

what ever tower it is...........it still looks like crap
