How are groups started? Can we assign more than one moderator for the group? if so how?

Log in and go to the community. Choose My Stuff | Groups from the menu. Click the Create Groups link.

As far as I know, a group can only have one admin, but I'm not super familiar with it, so let me know if you find out different.

you can have other admin or mods in your group. go to the group members area under edit group then you can edit each person. you can invite them, delete them, make them a mod, you can title them etc... you just have to play with the edit section.
