I am about 6 and 200 pounds an want to upgrade to a bigger board. Not sure if I should go with the Byerly 142 or the Parks 143. I will get the matching boot because I get a deal if I go that way.

Anybody ride these or have a preference?
And also, will the slightly larger 143 seem all that bigger or make a noticible difference? If so I might go with the Parks.
Anybody make a good 144+?

I've ridden my friends Byerly 142 alot. I love that board!! It has alot of pop and smooth landings. I don't know much about the parks 143 but I had a parks 133 (for some odd reason) and the landings were hard.....but I'm sure thats because the board was so small. I'm going with bigger boards from now on and I'm 5'11 165. I'd say go with the Byerly but demo them first..good luck

I am actually curious if people can feel that much of a difference in riding between a 142 and 143

I think I might go with the Byerly, it is slightly smaller but I hear it makes landing a lot easier, but it is slower than the parks. Am i right about this?

Yeah its probably a lil bit slower, but you're gonna get more pop with the Byerly. Different people will give you different opinions but thats just mine. The Byerly isn't a SLOW board it's just not quite as fast as the Parks but your gonna make up for that with the pop.

could you feel the difference in the size. I have always rode a 140 or smaller, and I am 200lbs now and want a bigger board. but is a 143 gonna be more beneficial for me, or is there no real difference in the sizes

Peter,

I have a Parks 143 and a Byerly 139 Finless. Both boards are great, Parks is a lot faster, pops harder, and lands softer. Byerly is a smoother overall ride. I am 6'4 and about 270lb

yeah, i'm down for a smooth ride and I think the softer landings with the Byerly will help me out.
