Help! High speed pump kicks on, stays on at all times. Replaced the relay, works for a bit and then does it again. Overheated, replaced the impellor (hoping that now the high speed pump wouldnt think it was starving for fuel). Now it does nto overheat, but the pump still comes on and stays on. Eventually burns out the relay. Now, wont idle. "Chugs" as if its gunked up somewhere, not getting fuel. Runs great at higher speeds, but will not idle, dies. The "low oil pressure" light comes on when the key is in, beeps intermitently at all times, oil was a lil low but nothin major...Tried changing out both fuel filters, still doing it, any other solutions?? Could it be the low speed pump? Sanger v210 w/ 350 merc mag. Thank you!

my buddy have same boat same motor with a few of the same symptoms you said minus the over heating and oil problems.... 6 months later in and out of the dealerships/shops it ended up being 4 clogged injectors. surely caused it to "chug" it would barely get to a plane but when it did it ran fine just took forever to get the rpms up. hope that was of some help its worth looking into. I know how much it sucks to be without a boat in summer

mike

Thanks for the info, worth a look-see... Can I get to them myself or am I better served taking it in?

I think even if you could get them out yourself you need some sort of flow bench type machine or something like that to make sure they are flowing the correct ammount... but don't quote me on that one, that's just what they told us
