Anyone go after work? Does it get crowded?

blabel 04-27-2004 3:08 PM

To answer your second question, yes it does when it warms up. Your best bet is the ski course. Unfortunately I'm out of the loop on weekday riding these days.

paulsmith 04-27-2004 3:09 PM

Windy and crowded, although you can get lucky occasionally.

tutman 04-27-2004 4:03 PM

It will glass off torward the end of the day at the course, usually about the last hour. Sometimes more, sometimes less.

tammy 04-27-2004 4:08 PM

bahahahahaha

wakeripper 04-27-2004 4:36 PM

I'll let you know Joe as we start heading out for Midweek riding. We usually head out on Wednesday's right after work at Sail Bay(MBAC)or (Mission Bay Aquatic Center) because after 5:00 p.m. you are allowed to ride there and we usually stay until the sun is gone and you get to show off for the tourists in the paddlwheel boat<img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/lol.gif" border=0> The conditions are usually good with maybe a few other boats there

dakid 04-27-2004 9:34 PM

canaday 04-28-2004 8:12 AM

Hey Randy, you found any good tubes yet? I'm still looking.

04-28-2004 8:21 AM

HA! A windy Mission Bay is what we commonly refer to as "San Diego chop" around here. <BR> <BR>Wimps.

tutman 04-28-2004 8:43 AM

I've always wanted to use that boat as a slider.

wakeripper 04-28-2004 10:46 AM

John you're in bro as soon as we start going out there. <BR> <BR>Sean, pretty funny though since that's what my summer will consist of, already looking into new digital camera and waterproof housing for tube shots <BR> <BR>I have decided to take my driving skills to the next level this year...Pro tour driving skills by the end of summer<img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/lol.gif" border=0> <BR> <BR>I have also threatened to start riding an airchair but still don't know if that's safe for the knee....any insight? <BR> <BR>I also have to announce (John and Sean) that the automation manufacturing business is slow so now i only work 4 day work weeks so i am available for being a third on Fridays. <BR> <BR>(Message edited by wakeripper on April 28, 2004)

canaday 04-28-2004 12:38 PM

Randy you golf? That's what I've been doing lately.

wakepaula 04-29-2004 9:22 AM

What do you know, I happen to live very close to the Bay. If anyone should happen to need me, I'm there!<IMG SRC="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/happy.gif" ALT=":-)" BORDER=0> <BR> <BR>Randy! Not you too?? What the heck is going on around here??

da_moose 04-29-2004 11:07 AM

tutman 04-29-2004 11:40 AM

Moose - how is the lagoon? I've never ridden there but it looks good from the highway. <BR> <BR>Paula - I should be at the course all weekend, fri &amp; sat afternoon, sun morning

da_moose 05-01-2004 10:38 AM

what lagoon? never herd of it.

calliegirl 05-02-2004 10:05 PM

i went today ... and it was the worst ride ive ever been on my knees are so messed up and shoulders from the chop ... to many waverunners.. even during the week we got up EARLY and it was bad and we went later today and it still was bad i almost got ran over by a raid of dudes on waverunners it was lame ... mission bay... not really a good idea its alright during the week late like around i guess 5:30pm or in the morning ... its just timing i guess good luck

lindsayl 05-02-2004 11:43 PM

Mornings are usually beautiful during the week. I live in Crown Point and many mornings it kills me to be driving into work instead of being out on a boat. <BR> <BR>BTW, I'm available for early morning weekday sessions on the bay.

lindsayl 05-03-2004 8:46 AM

At 8 am this morning, all glass and not a single boat out there. Yet here I am at work <img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/angry.gif" border=0>

tutman 05-03-2004 9:03 AM

Moose - I must have made it up in a dream, my bad <img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/uhoh.gif" border=0> <BR> <BR>Weekends on MB are definitely a nightmare, especially when it's as nice as it was this past one. The water gnats were in full force. The wind didn't help out much either.

canaday 05-03-2004 9:58 AM

Saw that too Lindsay. You talking about Carlsbad Lagoon, Adam?

tutman 05-03-2004 10:48 AM

<b>"what lagoon? never herd of it." <BR></b> <BR>Sean - Si, ever been?

canaday 05-03-2004 11:25 AM

yeah, it's pretty sweet, because there aren't a lot of boats there, however if there are more than 3 boats, then the water is wrecked. It's also expensive and private.

wakestar8878 05-03-2004 12:38 PM

I heard that there is Giant Man Eating Octopus' in the bay. And its a well known fact they one will gladly pay you tuesday for one wakeboarder today. <img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/rofl.gif" border=0>

tutman 05-03-2004 2:13 PM

Sean, I've heard it's expensive, plus the insurance you have to have is outrageous. I just want to ride it sometime. I can imagine that 3 boats would kill it. How often does that happen though? It was cool to see it in Alliance.
