My Uncle is going to be moving up to Naci to be closer to the rest of our family. So this weekend we drove up there to drop off the boat, and I was able to get some pictures of the lake since the recent storms. Even though we didn't ride it was cool just to go cruise the pontoon boat around and check out the lake and how full it has gotten. You can see in some of the pictures it only has about 10-15 feet to make it up to the high water line. I have a feeling it's going to be a good summer!

how was the debris in the water?? I noticed some on the shoreline, but was there still a bunch floating around? it is nice to see naci up again. cant wait to get out there again while it is full.

wakestar8878 02-07-2005 9:49 AM

Lots of debris everywhere, nice big logs, and the water still looks like soup.

wakestar8878 02-07-2005 3:54 PM

Not quite sure Joe? If I had to guess I'd say about 48-52 degrees?

wakestar8878 02-07-2005 4:27 PM

Ed - Of course, the water hasn't been this high in years.

wakehype 02-07-2005 4:50 PM

I was on the water Saturday and Sunday:

As for Debris:
There is a lot of floating around the Marina, I clogged my Cooling system with-in 10 min. It was my fault I launched the boat from the old ramp which was had small piece's covering the water like a cloud. Look before you launch, the New Ramp was much cleaner.

After cleaning out the cooling system no more issue’s. It is mainly with-in the 5 mile an hour zone. You do have to keep a constant Eye open, there are some BIG tree’s in the water, but will the glassy conditions it was very easy to navigate through.

The water is Cold, I was wishing I had a Drysuit, but it wasn’t unbearable in a wetsuit.

The Narrows are UP, Way UP, I have never been back that far before.

the narrows when they are up, are one of the coolest things to see. if you go back far enough, and the water is high enough. you will see a waterfall. cool stuff. I saw a school of turtles back there about 10 years ago. and if you can get away with it, not a bad place to ride!

teamvaldez 02-14-2005 1:04 PM

hey shawn, are you talking about Fred? No more place at Mcintire?? NO WAY!! please give them our best and we will see you soon!

wakestar8878 02-14-2005 1:22 PM

Robyn - Yeah Fred is just about out of here. He sold the trailer in Blythe, and only has the house left to sell.

stephan 02-14-2005 2:40 PM

Tell me that last picture is not the most beautiful thing you have ever seen!! We didn't make it out this weekend, but are planning on going camping next weekend for a couple days. Anyone wanna join us?

wakehype 02-14-2005 4:02 PM

DUDE I NEED to get out there now. I am only in Monterey. Not too far, must go again. Maybe I can drive the VLX out from the valley.. Hrmmm *thinks*
