15ish, maybe 17 if you fixed that rear sundeck. I guess you might get close to 20 for the exact right buyer with the rear sundeck fixed but I think the chances are slim. I have seen 2000ish SAN's for 20-25 that probably have half the hours. Unfortunately the custom ballast and stereo probably doesn't raise the price more then 500-1000 over what it would be in its stock state.

17k is what we're looking for ... if we don't get it this year odds are we'll put it away for the winter and try again in spring when there are more lookers (and the sundeck fixed).

Thanks.

This may help, a buddy of mine bought this recently for a little less than asking price.

wow, that price was really high. No way that thing is worth more then 20k in my opinion. You buddy must or really like that boat and must of been in mint condition.

sidekicknicholas 08-17-2011 12:53 PM

^ Thank you! I think looking at that given it has the newer FTC, wetsounds, and two years newer.... our price seems about on par

sidekicknicholas 08-17-2011 12:54 PM

... my thought with ours is the following:

You want a <20k v-drive your choices are somewhat limited.... and the 210 hull is a proven monster. The "core" rider on a budget is looking for an old 210 or 205v.... its a niche market, but also has very limited options, especially here in the Northern Midwest

Sorry man, I hate to break it to you, but that boat isn't worth crap.

I'd say at the most, about $1,000. Tell ya what, cause you seem like a nice guy, I'll give ya $1,500 so at least you feel better about the deal, and I can help out a friend.

I would fix the sun deck. That is going to be a huge turn off to most buyers and they will not be able to see past that. Most buyers want to buy a boat a go use it - not fix stuff. It will sell faster and for more money if you get that fixed. You will get the money back.

I'll save both of u the trouble and throw $5k cash to u to eliminate ur headaches about the sunpad...i'll even let you keep the stereo system.

sidekicknicholas 08-17-2011 6:25 PM

I got a quote for the sundeck today... $500 was "worst case" -- that meant it needed extra support/framing (assuming it was structurally damaged - which it isn't).

My guess that $500 would easily be handed back in the sale.

Nice boat should be able to get 17k easy.

nitrousbird 08-17-2011 8:37 PM

I'd say 17k sounds about right if you fix the sun pad and the boat is presented well.

Not to hijack the thread - but I'm curious what this boat cost "new" -- a 1995 would be about 16 years. Since the boats are typically "loaned" on 15 year notes, just curious what this badboy cost in the year 1995. I have no idea but am curious about how well it has held up value over the 15+ years of use....

I would venture to guess mid/upper 20s? When did price of boats start to skyrocket? I have zero clue. Thanks...

No idea the new costs was in 1995..... my guess is anything V-drive (especially with a proven wake-making hull) will hold value pretty well after the initial hit.
Old 210s, 205vs, sunsetter VLXs.... if you want a "wakeboard" boat and don't want to spend over 20k these are generally your best bet to get a top tier wake on a budget. Not because this boat is any better than a 1995 Sport nautique, but a 95' sport has to compete against every direct drive since the 80s.... where v-drives are a bit more rare and desired.

crowem87 08-18-2011 5:34 AM

I would not let a mere 650 hours scare anyone away from this boat. IF you have serviced it regularly, oil, drive fluids etc....it will last easily three times that. It cracks me up....people on here questioning if a boat with 350+ hrs is safe.... Think of it this way..... that boat has 650hrs on it and is what 16 years old? simple math.... 650/16 is 40.625 hours a year.... hardly even enough to change the oil every season (hopefully they did). I realize most likely the boat sat and you put all the hours on it in a few years but still.

If you look up this boat on NADA average retail is $13,125. If it were me.... I would keep my stereo and maybe sell to another buyer and sell the boat. I think you would get more for the stereo on the side. Also, in my experience working at a boat dealer your ballast setup is nice, but will not increase the value of the boat. Like stated above, it will not add more than $500 or so to it....

I just wish I had some cash and I would take it off your hands....

crowem87 08-18-2011 7:28 AM

new cost in 95 was around $35k according to NADA?

I have a 95 SS. The owner I bought from was the original owner and gave me the invoice when I bought the boat. Mine was right around $38-39k when it was new. It did have all of the options, heater, hot water shower, upgraded stereo, etc.
