I remember back in the day when jetskis were simple. This is crazy:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HP5ou6PYhNc&feature=related
I honestly see no fun in riding this thing. It seems more like a little boat than a jetski to me.

Sorry but if i won the lotto right now i would have two of theose bad boys in my garage along side my Tige RZ4

cool, brakes! suspension! reverse!
I still don't like jet skis.
check out the Quadski, it's way more 007.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CyFdGWxfl8g

Pretty cool.... if you have no talent to ride a real JetSki.... a standup. Thats about the only type I bother with.

The Quadski is innovative. But I'd love to take it for a spin where the Cat goes.

vguy75 12-05-2008 4:45 AM

Kinda funny that they mention, "it's built to last a decade or more".

I'd like to think that if I'm spending $19k on a toy it's going to last a little longer than that. Guess they're trying to shed the imagine of early to mid 90's Sea Doos that need engine / pump rebuilds.

chqwakeboarder 12-06-2008 11:40 AM

Does anyone have any idea how fast this thing goes?

wakeslife 12-06-2008 12:05 PM

I would imagine upwards of 70 mph, with incredible holeshot. Our 215 horse RXT does about 68, so I can only imagine what 255 will do...

captain_542 12-07-2008 8:04 AM

is this iControl system made by Apple? ha. It has a "perfect pass" intelligen throttle control! I want that

themxercr85 12-07-2008 10:03 PM

we just got an rxp-x and an rxt-x, they do 0-50 in 2.8sec...pretty dam fast.

wakemitch 12-07-2008 10:27 PM

I dont why people get sit down pwcs just to "go fast". It seems like it would get boring really quick

but i would love to have that new GTX to wakeskate. The speed control sounds amazing. Its hard for new guys to keep the speed consistent. i would like the help to sometimes.

http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=-quy6QowowI&feature=related

billy2603 12-08-2008 3:42 PM

Bill K - Funny that you sit down to board and stand up to jetski. Just an observation.

reconabe 12-13-2008 4:18 AM

Did you see the "suspension"? Now all those homo chariots can chop up the water, and they wont feel how bumpy it is.

bmartin 12-13-2008 9:38 AM

I see the appeal especially for the newly anointed to PWCs with that brake. The lack of steering and braking at no throttle with traditional fleas probably account for the majority of wrecks.

The market timing couldn't be worse for PWCs near $20K though. Also I tend to follow the KISS principle - too much stuff that could break on that thing IMO but time will tell how reliable they are.

themxercr85 12-13-2008 4:04 PM

Mitch, the majority of people buy them just for that. Not me though. I run ours pretty hard and run myself hard too. Ive been knocked out before jumping ferry waves. But you're right in a way most ppl use them as fast couches. I stand up 99% of the time.
