What would be the best way to repair a slightly damaged edge? I was thinking that a fiberglass repair kit for a surfboard, bit then they have fiberglass and epoxy kits.... It is a 2011 Murray Nova core with a slight chip on the the tail....

Superglue can also be very effective. Larger repairs get the surfboard kit.

Well I just repaired the edge of my SS Shredtown ( yes they fail too) with some high tensile marine epoxy. The kind you have to mix with a catalyst. Let it dry overnight and sand smooth. I took a beating at the cable and has held up great. Didn't even chip a bit.
I've also found liquid nails to be very effective as it will flex with your board. It's a PIA to deal with though.

I used painter's tape and epoxy to fill in a chip in the edge of my board.
