Does anyone have any information on the new 2008 sea doo wake edition. Apparently, it has a removable ballast tank. Just wondering is anyone has ridden behind it and noticed a difference in wake size?

I saw one on the colorado river and I wasn't impressed with the wake but it could have been user error.

I saw one this past weekend, the wake was huge. no reason to go out and purchase an expensive wakeboat. removable ballast tank hold about 3500lbs, and pumps out in less than 5 minutes.. its awesome

The sea-doo boat is intriguing, I'd like to see a picture of the wake. All of their ads are so fast you can't see anything. My dad thinks they airbrush the wakeboarder into their picture ads haha

drink the hater aide early and often, just say no to PWC MFG's.

I just checked out their website and I didn't see anything about 3500 lbs of ballast. The MSRP was 44k. I think an X-1 would be a better purchase.
|
3500 lbs of ballast on a jet ski. I don't think so. 44k must be for the boat not the ski. I think there is a little confusion going on here

looks like the "Speedster WAKE" is one single 600lb tank, retails at 38,000 the "230 WAKE",has two ballast tanks (1000lbs total)..retails at 44k...one question..who the hell buys a seadoo boat???
|
The extra tanks hold 200lbs. the come off in a couple of min. The jet pump fills the tanks in about 2 min. Neat set up good for what? We use Sea doos for no wake on sliders.

The only place I would consider these boats is in the ocean (no prop to damage). Of course I think the ocean is the only place for PWCs too...

I have a Sea Doo Boat. Speedster 200
