I am trying to make a decision between a 2006 x1 with 90 hours and a 2007 x1 with 140 hours. both are close in price. Someone with more boat experience than me please help me. }}

i think the only difference is the tower. what ever boat has more options. get that one

it depends. you would think a boat with less hours is better but it all comes down to how well the boat was maintained. i would prob go with less hours.

In the scheme of things there is zero difference between 90 & 140hrs. Choose the one in the best condition with the best options IMO.

the 2006 tower is more "sturdy".... with the 07 model you may want the tower braces. <BR> <BR>I had a 06 X1 and it was great! Never gave us any issues... put on 120 hours in one summer!

I would go with the 2006. Just like greg said the 2006 tower is much more sturdy. The 2007 tower needs to have braces added to it if it doesn't already have them. I also think the 2006 tower matches the lines of the boat much better.

I agree with the tower thoughts. When I was working selling MC in 2007 I was told they made some changes to the RTP engine and even though it still had the same HP it was a more powerful engine. Don't remember what exactly the explanation was or if it was even true. There are a few other small things that are different. The 06 may have to have the ballast pump impellers switched to the yellow or maybe blue(?) ones that are available now. The gauges in the 07 should be white vs red in the 06. Not sure but the 07 may have drive by wire and the 06 may not? <BR> <BR>The tower is the biggest difference and the 06 is hands down better in my opinion. It is sturdier, better looking, doesn't require braces, would be easier to add extra racks to and is better suited to adding aftermarket tower speakers. <BR> <BR>All my thoughts are assuming both boats are in the same shape. <BR> <BR>(Message edited by polarbill on March 22, 2009)

I have an 06 X-1 and have a buddy with an 07. No difference besides the tower and that you pretty much have to use OEM MC tower speakers. I would go off of price to make up your mind. you may be able to get the 06 for cheaper.

yeah i have an 06 its awesome and my boy has an 07 its the exact same boat besides the tower and i like the 06 tower better go with the 06
