Thought somebody would like to see these pics. I am not a CC fan at the moment but here they are.

they just keep gettin uglier and uglier

did you go to the kicker big air bash last nite at the hard rock?

grant_west 11-02-2006 8:43 PM

That thing is pretty crazy. Is polk making all the bass pod's.? Thanks for the Pic's

malibuboarder75 11-02-2006 8:49 PM

Those speaker pods aren't very attractive. I know the egg shape is the best shape for speakers, but those make the boat look like a giant goose laid some eggs.

My opinion is that it's more "Show then Go" and if that's the case (which is fine by me) at least get the color right will ya!
I like the Bass Pod from a sound standpoint but those of us that like to still use our boats for what they were intended would likely not like the loss of space.
On a different but related note, now that DE owns Polk too, will it go down hill like the others?

I saw this boat here, definitely designed by a stereo guy and not a wakeboarder.

Oh well, it's SEMA, there were plenty of trucks there that I'm sure I couldn't fit a 4x8 sheet of plywood if I needed to take it to Home Depot.

Big Air bash was a hit, unfortunately the rail jam didn't have too much action. It's hard to get the crowd amped on that when you've got guys doing backflips on motorcycles I guess.

midwesty 11-03-2006 7:23 AM

we were there. it was nice seeing a rail jam but it was quick and short. coulda been another 75ft longer so they could actually do some tricks on the rails instead of hop on/hop off

and the water DEFINITELY was not warm!

grant_west 11-03-2006 9:23 AM

Craig: LOL. What is that a wakeboard rope, RCA or somthing.

Now that the boat show's are comming up and people will start thinking about building a DISPLAY system. I love that word. "Display" its installer code for "when Im done with it your not gonna be able to use this thing for anything"
. Kind of remindes me of the Sklylon boat. Amps and subs all over the place in aeras where things get wet and no storage. Then when asked why the simpe answer is "Its a Display boat". O I guess that whay you destroyed a perfictly good wakeboard boat. LOL Heres a Idea for this system. If they were trying to DISPLAY product. I would have built the Amps into the v drive hatch lid's, So when the lids are open like they are in the pics you would be looking right at the amps behind plexyglass. You would be able to see them better and it would free up the storge space where the amps are mounted in the pic's. Then you could stuff some more of the space hogging egg shaped subs enclosers in that spot,
