So I've been slowly bringing my '87 2001 back to life since the fall of '07. Finally got her all finished up this weekend and took a few quick teaser cell phone pics of the finished product. I plan on doing a full write up of the project as soon as I take some quality pics but for now, here's the teasers. Great rehab. I love the new graphics and the white scheme. I definitely have to pick up a 2001 at some point in time, and seeing builds like this give me the itch.

Brett - <BR>Yeah there was some spider cracking in the gel coat so I sanded those areas down and filled them in with new gel. Then just went ahead and sanded all the decals off and had it painted white. Turned out pretty good

wow great wake and great work on the restore.....you must be a proud papa... any plans to spice up the trailer?

I would re paint the trailer if I planned on keeping her but she'll be up for sale here in a week or so as soon as I take a bunch of pics.

I'm tellin' you... Nautique needs to update that hull and re-make that boat. What a great wake. Put a new fuel injected 6 cylinder in it with a nice ballast system and price it at $25k. It'd sell like hot-cakes with the current gas prices.

When I first found it I had every intention of holding on to it for a long long time. So I started fixing it up. Then last fall, I came across a '97 Super Sport that had a lot of potential and a good price and I couldn't help but to jump on it. So now that the 2001 is done it's time to find it a good home and get going on the Super Sport. It's not going to be easy letting it go though, I love that thing.
