Pismo Pictures

Rode Pismo this weekend with Bryan Scott. I have lots of media to upload. I'll start with these few and will finish tonight. Lots of video footage also.

It was one of those trips where everything worked out perfect. Rained all the way there. They closed the park to day use, only people with reservations could get in, so the park was empty! So awesome. First time I've had quiet camping at pismo. We burned 5 gallons each in 24 hours.

This guy made a big mistake

three6ty 03-01-2010 8:20 AM

What the Helll was that guy thinking?????

jinxton 03-01-2010 9:04 AM

I don't think he was thinking at all!!!!

v220ls 03-01-2010 10:20 AM

That's going to suck for him! I did some river driving in my big bad ass 4X4 when I was younger and stupid. They are just never the same, random shorts, headlights cut off, wiper turn on by themselves all bad. Tuff luck buddy water = boats not trucks
Lame

Nice riding shots, getting booted!

They get pretty stupid crossing the creek.

that dude with the trailer is boss

dohboy 03-01-2010 10:25 PM

Yeah gotta be careful crossing the river at high tide especially after rains. I haven't been there in years. Way more fun to be there when its empty and the dunes aren't thrashed.

jarrod 03-02-2010 6:32 AM

Totally. The dunes were the equiv of butter or powder. Just a blank canvas for us to shred.

I didn't have time to upload more stuff last night. Hopefully today I can get to it.

brianmiller 03-02-2010 9:09 AM

nice pics looks like a blast. So you did not have to roost any tents this time. haha

guido 03-02-2010 10:26 AM

Holly crap.... that guy with the trailer is nuts. That's a lot of coin to potentially throw away in the river. I wonder what an insurance company would do with that claim.

dohboy 03-02-2010 6:03 PM

If you enter the river on high tide when its surging the bank just drops off. Your pretty much committed once your front tires drop off the bank in those conditions.

That trail is crazy. There are a couple of sections at Forest Hill that are like that.

I lost all of the video last night from our pismo trip when my hardrive crashed. The last task my laptop performed was pulling the video from my camera. When it finished, it died.

nice pictures

brianmiller 03-03-2010 12:41 PM

those last couple of jumps look huge. How far do you figure you were going?

jarrod 03-03-2010 12:53 PM

I estimated about 70-80 feet for some of the bigger ones. But, you go a lot higher since the ground drops out from under you.

westsiderippa 03-03-2010 1:47 PM

all i can say is jumping in the dunes is sooo different than on the track. like jarrod said the bottom just drops out from under you. the sand is so hard to read and the landings are sketch. the funny thing is after you hit you say, s--t i could have gone so much bigger, so then you do and you say it again.......
