Learnwake.com

Has anyone used learnwake.com? Did it help them progress? Is it really worth 10 bucks a month?

stoked_32 08-17-2011 1:54 PM

Absolutely.

You can troubleshoot tricks and ask very specific questions that will be answered by Kyle or one of his staff. What other sport can you post a video of yourself, and have a pro help you one on one? Also, the instructional videos are worth the $10 in themselves. It helps to see the same trick thrown by 2-4 different riders in a few different angles. Plus the drills are unique & innovative, and guides you through techniques that no other coach on the planet has thought of yet. There are a bunch of things on the site worth mentioning, but for 10 bucks/month, & considering the type of coaching you get, this is really a steal. Just don't be shy and ask TONS of questions & post a lot of videos of yourself.

I'll put it this way, even if you only learned 1 new trick every year and half from the website (18 months = $180), that would still be cheaper than paying for one day of instruction with a coach in person.

Thanks dude, Im on it! I didn't know you could post your videos and get individual help. I will join today!

Bumpass1 08-18-2011 3:38 PM

I use it too. Very helpful. Everyone is real cool on the forums there. Good feedback on any videos and comments that you may post.

jfergus7 02-12-2012 9:28 PM

I thought of doing this last year but didn't. Think I will join soon as the season opens here in Chicagoland and try it out!

I've considered it a long time as well and it definitely sounds worth it. Though I am curious if they could/would help with cable riding as well, now that i do that about just as often as boat, anyone have experience in that department?

Bumpass1 03-01-2012 5:37 PM

They has instructional videos all about different aspects of cable. The coaches on there are well versed on all aspects of wake, cable, skate, and surf. They can help you with whatever you need.

Finally got around to joining...

WOW instantly worth it, so much on there! All work productivity just dropped off dramatically ... haha. Can't wait to dive deeper into the site

augie_09 03-16-2012 10:46 AM

After posting a vid, how fast is feedback from the staff?

stang_killa_ss 03-28-2012 9:03 PM

usually 1-2 days.

k9fxr 03-31-2012 12:00 PM

Yup, answers right from the big guns,
they will take your video, break it down and show you the errors,
pretty cool
My wifes Cosmos cost more than $10, its worth it

I definitely agree here. I never knew about the 360 training strategy of Ollie 180 then put the handle behind your back and look backwards...etc. I was able to land the ollie 360 in the same day I started trying this!

Thanks
