What music is a must on your riding playlist.
Getting ready for the season by making playlists...mine are always heavy and fast, with the occasional rap jam for my boys to dance to.
Here are some of our family favs...what are yours? and by the way you can't ride to Jack Johnson, Jake Owen or Bob Marley Andy Mineo - rap Atmosphere - rap B.o.B. - rap Bad Religion - old school punk Blindside - punkish Blink 182 - pop punk Busta Rhymes - rap Chiddy Bang - rap Children 18:3 - rock The Cult - old school metal Demon Hunter - hardcore metal Eminem's new record Guns and Roses - appetite Jay Z Pigeon John - indie rapper My wife likes to ride to Ke$ha, Tinie Tempah and Pitbull Linkin Park - almost every song they have recorded Macklemore Me First and the Gimme Gimmes (a great punk cover band) Tallica Mudhoney - alternative MXPX Soulcrate - hip hop group from Sioux Falls, SD.....DON'T LAUGH...they are really good. When the kids aren't with - Rage Against the Machine, Travis Barker, etc. Spoken - screamo from Iowa Give me some new stuff to spend my iTunes money on! ALSO.....what is the worst song you have ever heard coming out of a set of wakeboard tower speakers?
there is a yamaha boat, an x-something on our lake and the guys always knee board to that Rammenstein song, DuHast????, but it is a techno version of it. I often wonder if they are from some Eastern European city. |
Worst? Kidz bop Ninja Tuna over and over and over and over and over and over and over just friggn shoot me over and over again.
This year will be all country brother. Its closer to the rock I grew up with than what is popular now. |
I don't know what you're talking about, saying you can't wakeboard to Jake Owen? If anything he's one of the few country artists I would wakeboard to.
I have a surfing playlist, but haven't really got a wakeboard playlist because the speakers in the boat I normally ride don't have that much range. If I did it would definitely include: 30 Seconds to Mars AC DC Black Sabbath Blink 182 Buck Cherry Bush Crystal Method Drowning Pool Fallout Boy Fenix TX Flo Rida Foofighters Fort Minor Godsmack Good Charlotte Green Day Hoobastank Journey Kid Rock Korn Limp Bizkit Linkin Park Metallica Mighty Mighty Bostones Motley Crue Offspring Papa Roach Rage Against The Machine Red Hot Chili Peppers Rush Skrillex Van Halen There are some others but those would definitely be on my list. |
Jake Owen is at the top of our list! Randy Rodgers, Logan Mize, Cross Canadian Ragweeds/ Cody Canada. We listen to a lot of Red Dirt country.
Kip Moore has a really good album. Still, my favorite song to wakeboard to when the sun is going down is Somewhere Down in Texas by Jason Boland. |

hahah Jake is for sure a Beauty and has wake boarding in most of his videos. I could ride to him for sure.
what i like to listen too is any rock/reggae, hiphop, or alt/indie rock, classic rock too! illScarlett, Sublime, Kid Rock, Swollen Members, Eminem, The Naked and Famous, AWOLNATION (lots of hidden gems), the Foo, ACDC etc. I love all the 90s rap and 90s ska/punk it just reminds me of tony hawk pro skater and any board sport |

I like a lot of different things. Except country. As for what is a must: Swollen Members, M83, Thousand Foot Krutch, Naked and Famous, and Yelawolf.
