The hinge tech makes putting on your boots easy and makes slime a thing of the past. If you snowboard you probably know of FLOW bindings, the idea is the same with the hinge, the back drops back a few inches allowing you to get into the boot easily, then locks up keeping your heel locked into the boot. The articulated toe is just a toe piece made out of foam and rubber that will mold to your foot and also helps with entry because it is covered in lycra (rash guard material) that allows your foot to slide in easily when wet. The lock jaw is just what CWB calls their mounting hardware. It is similar to Hyperlites hardware in that the baseplate has teeth that fit into notches on the mounting hardware except CWB uses a two sides of teeth for better hold. If you are looking for a binding with little or no heel lift and easy entry....look no further.
