Surf Rope

After a reminder from another thread, I need to get a new surf rope. I have one with a handle and thin rope that I have been using for 2 years and after it getting caught on a friend leg a second time and giving him a good rope burn  I'm thinking that a thicker rope would be better. What ropes are most using? I like the handle, but sure that one with out i could get use to. Thank you all

Been using the straight line surf rope for a few seasons and its been great.

I havent heard about, or had any issues, with rope burn while surfing. But, I can totally see it being an issue if someone is riding the wave with a super long rope and falls on the slack. We just use a rope long enough to put a rider in the middle of the "pocket".

I have heard of people dislocating shoulders when they are using a wake handle and they fall and their arm gets stuck in the handle. I would assume this is one of the reasons for the small handle on the surf lines.

X 2 for the triple xxx rasta rope second choice would be the accurate rope

Whatever rope you do use, it's always a smart idea to pull up the slack after the rider throws the rope... Plus, it looks lame dragging in the background of a video!

I didn't buy it here, but I've used this rope for the last 3 years and it works great.
