o9 murray boots
 

so i am going to pick up my new Conspracy will the o9 murray boots fit with the 8" plate or do i need the 6" plate????

jesse - nice choice on the conspiracy! it is my favorite shape i've ever ridden and its an absolute blast.

to answer your question short answer: yes, they will fit fine, with the only stance option lost is the narrowest one.

only the placement of the inside inserts changed on byerly and hyperlite boards this year. what this means is using an 8" plate, your foot will be in the exact same spot as before, outside screw is at the widest insert, but you will use an insert that is closer to the middle of the board for the inside screw. and the 6" plates will put your foot in the exact same spot as the 8" plates, only they use the widest inside screw and the 2nd widest for the outside insert. if i could draw it out it might make more sense. the biggest benefit of the 6" is the stiffer flex and reduced heel/toe lift. but they are not required to mount up your 09 murrays. ride on, brother.

Yo Tom I finally joined the conspiracy club :)

Took a good long set to start dialing it in, its so different from my watson hybrid, but once I started to understand how to ride it started having a blast! Edges deep, but the release actually has to be a lot more mellow than watson shape, I think because of the big fins. Lands so locked it, more than any other board Ive had, blind landings are a dream now. Looking forward to progressing further with it once I completely gotten to grips with it, but enjoying the process!
