New SAN 230
1 Attachment(s)
DId it again. You would think I would learn to stay away from boat shows. Anyway, i pulled the trigger on a 2010 SAN 230. This is a beautiful boat and Natique is truly ahead of the curve on boat building compared to others.
Natique had a factory rep at the show (Adam) and he was absolutly fantastic. He spent two hours with me going over every aspect of the boat. What my main focus was on why Natiques carried such a premium price and what sets them appart. He was very good at explaining these differences. After a short eduction, much of the differences are in areas you cannot see. Most of these lie in the manufacturing processes used versus the competition. All said, these differences do cost more money hence the premium price. I am so excited. The boat it being built on March 15 and completed on the 31st. I wanted the boat that was at the Cincinnati boat show but saw no need for the audio and trailer upgrades on that particular boat. I had them build me the exact boat minus those features along with also putting in the 343 versus the show boats 409. |
Sick boat man you'll love that 230. I've had an '08 and currently have an '09.
If I can sell my '09, the 2010 I'm looking at at www.trcyachtsale.com is the exact same boat as the one pictured. |
amazing boat. Adam is the man. So friendly and personable. Chatted with him for like 30 min at the show last year.
|
Great boat man! Gonna be sick!
|
Wow Heath. Beautiful boat. Congrats on the purchase. What were some of the options you chose not to get?
|
Very nice boat, why did you go with the 343 instead of the Zr6?
Cost? |
Awesome Choice!. What colors are you going with?
That boat looks amazing. White Lake had one very similar in Raleigh, NC. Also wondering about the 343 in the 230? Congrats! |
Beautiful boat. Post up some pics when you get it.

I ended up going with the 343 for pure economic reasons. That engine adds approximatly $6,000 to the cost and I do not see the value in that. I realize it could help in resale value latter but I am not concerned about that now. I do not plan on loading more than another 1K in ballast and do not see any reason that the 343 cannot provide the performance I need for this boat. The only advantage I see out of the ZR6 is torque and not sure how much more is in that engine. I could see the need for the additional torque if your really going to load this boat up.
|
If you are not going to slam the 230 with weight the 343 will do just fine.
Yes the cost to go up to the Zr6 is crazy expensive. I have been in many 230's with the 343, it does the job, but struggles a little when the boat is loaded down with extra weight. Enjoy your 230, it is a great boat!! |
Nice looking boat. I bet you will really enjoy it.
|
That is a sick boat. i love the interior of the new SANs. You're going to have a blast on that thing.
|
beautiful boat. I am debating missing our boat show intentionally because I know that if I go I will get the new boat bug.
|
cant wait to get a pull behind that Heath :)
Did you sell your orange SAN? |
nice choice
|
I love my 230!!!!

It's like Nautique ripped the words right off the MasterCraft script. Don't believe me? Watch any of MC's Rewind DVDs and go to the factory tour section. Anyway... that is a very HAWT boat and I would have bought it regardless of what claims the factory rep was spewing. Congrats! |
I think that boat has the best interior out there.
Nice pickup |
I really like the new 230...The boats look great and I hear the wake is nice when loaded up.
Just for conversations sake, I'm interested in hearing what these manufacturing differences are that command such a huge premium? Care to share? |
Beautiful boat! Congrats!
|
rip the hard tanks out, add 750's and throw 1G of lead in the nose. Full tank of gas and its kickin!
