I am going to try and attend Northwood University in West Palm Beach Florida, and it looks like Clear Lake is pretty close by, is the lake rideable? if so how is the water for riding and such. i wouldnt be there for at least another year and a half considering i am still a junior in high school, but i want to be able to ride somewhere close wherever i end up.

Isn't clear lake where Danny & Rusty ride?

There are probably 50 different lakes named clear lake in FL. and for some reason, they all have diarrhea for water

Clear Lake near Orlando is loaded with pros.... I don't know about in West Palm, except I think that is where Watson is originally from

There's a chain of lakes in West Palm that I have been to a few times. The water is very nice for riding. Just get out early it does get busy.

Danny, Parks, Shane and Rusty live in Clermont, Fl.

I've never seen a boat on that lake.

The main riding areas in the area are Okeeheelee lakes, Lake osborne, various canals, and some people ride in the intracoastal.

(Message edited by timmy on March 12, 2009)

I notice a public launch on the Northeastern side of the lake. But that lake doesn't like it's being used all that much. Could be a bad thing, or maybe you'll have a whole lake to yourself.

The Clear Lake by Orlando has many Pro's on it and is a great riding spot.

After living there for a few months over summer, the only problem with the Orlando Clear Lake is it gets pretty damn busy at times, which can make shooting there a pain.
Living in 'the hood' is a lot of fun though.

CRYSTAL lake in the Boca Area is where Dean Lavelle has his camp on. it is definitely close but I wouldn't say there is a public ramp for you to drop on. You can always ride at Dean's though if you really want to take a boat set. I would personally just ride the cable 1 mile away where you will have much more fun.
http://www.wakeboard-school.com/
