I gotta call bullshot on this being largest cable wake park in the US. Some one pleez botch slap me cross-eyed if I'm wrong, but OWC's small (expert) cable looks bigger than Terminus' big cable. Look at how the Unit pool takes up the whole back stretch compared to OWC that has room another feature before the pool.

You don't need a tinfoil hat to see that a slalom course would never fit at Terminus (thank goodness) but the beginner cable at OWC has one and its supposed to be smaller? I bet Terminus is more fun but how can they claim its the largest in the US?

parkerbomar 09-29-2013 1:31 PM

Its the only park in the world to feature Clockwise and Counter Clockwise as well as a 2.0 for skating and beginers.

Cisco 09-29-2013 1:57 PM

Actually this one is

http://www.turncable.de/cms/index.php?pageid=9&lang=2

So your saying Terminus is bigger than OWC?

parkerbomar 09-29-2013 2:05 PM

I am just saying what they said. hit up their facebook for arguments.

That place is awesome though!

Cisco 09-29-2013 2:45 PM

I agree with you. That place looks incredible! Just seems like false advertising. I don't want to run the risk of getting banned for life by putting anything negative on their Facebook page. I don't understand why they would claim it so hard if its not true. I'm stoked to go see this place for myself!

This is not true Al Forsan in Abu Dhabi features both clockwise and counterclockwise with a 2.0. http://www.wakeparkworlds.com/ if you want more info.

They are only claiming the US, but I believe OWC is larger Cable wise, and with the boat lake has gotta be larger as I don't see Terminus with a Boat lake, or one in the plans. So don't know why they are saying that they are the Largest in the US.

FYI the largest in the world is actually Wasserski Langenfeld in Germany. They have 4 Full Size Cables and a 2 tower.

Hooya 10-01-2013 10:52 AM

For what I read they are claiming to be the largest "cable wake park". So I guess that rules out comparing it to parks with boating lakes.

But anyway...who cares. I am always on the side of a new business owner. Hard enough and expensive enough to start businesses these days as it is so a little selective boasting is fair game in my book.

steezyshots 10-01-2013 2:07 PM

They did it right! Get some good obstacles right away! Gonna have to take a trip to HOTlanta!

wakebordr11 10-01-2013 4:16 PM

Is that pool floating? Aren't they kinda close to the shore?

parkerbomar 10-01-2013 5:25 PM

that was when they were setting up. its much farther now.

Really nice place. Only going to get better with time!!! 45 minutes from the house so getting my son there at least once a week is no problem. If your not from Atlanta or close vicinity you should be jealous!!! Liquid Force demo day this Saturday Oct. 5. 20% fees during the initial season!!

The weekend was very crowded which did not lend well to maximizing ride time. Good for Terminus bad for me!

It definitely got crowded mid day on Saturday. My kids had a blast and we will definitely be making the trip again soon.

Do they have a train to take you back if you fall on the other side...?

behindtheboat 10-08-2013 11:58 AM

Anyone in DFW has 3 options within that distance. Jealous of the obstacles, not the size or location.

LYNRDSKYNRD 10-08-2013 12:45 PM

No train to carry you back around. They also only have one lake open, the other is scheduled to open in the Spring.

If parks had trains/trams going around the lakes picking up the riders it would stack the docks even more.

Hooya 10-08-2013 1:21 PM

"If parks had trains/trams going around the lakes picking up the riders it would stack the docks even more. "

I had always thought though you could have a 2nd dock at the opposite corner of a cable. Would obviously be more ££ in staffing but reckon if cables want to get bigger in size with more carriers it would be a good thing.

behindtheboat 10-08-2013 1:39 PM

At least then the wakeskaters would only do a half a lap before actually doing something, since they can only fall next to the dock..
