Just some pics from our afternoon session out at San V today. It was the first time John had tried wakesurfing and he picked it up quickly. AJ has tried it a couple of times but this was the first time he was able to ride without the rope and do some carving. <BR> <BR>John: <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/84179.jpg" alt="John first run"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/84180.jpg" alt="John 2nd run"> <BR> <BR>AJ: <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/84181.jpg" alt="AJ 1"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/84182.jpg" alt="don't ask"> <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/84183.jpg" alt="AJ again"> <BR> <BR>Me playing on the Inland Surfer Red Chubby: <BR><img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/65919/84184.jpg" alt="Red Chubby riding"> <BR>

Funny how the Joe Cocker hands come out when surfing.

how do you like the chubby? Is it harder or easier to stay in the pocket.

sdboardr99 09-30-2003 12:17 AM

The Chubby is fun, much more of a trick board and easy to spin. But since I'm about 190# it's a lot of work to keep it in the pocket. I can do it, but I have to work at it and it's amazing how fast you can lose the wake or bury the nose. I think it'll be a blast if I can ever get down to say 160#. <img src="http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/clipart/uhoh.gif" border=0> <BR> <BR>At least I don't have the Joe Cocker head thing going on too. No one did a better Joe Cocker than John Belushi... <BR>
