We already have a Non-Wakeboarding discussion area for stuff like that. Unless a topic completely dominates the area and generates enough traffic to stand on it's own, we won't create a separate topic for it.

There are more active political threads in non-wake than there are active posts in every single forum other than general wake, non-wake and boats/accessories.

I agree with Dave. I am a member on other forums that have politics sections, and it attracts people that have nothing to do with the website theme.

Same here. Politic threads got so bad on another forum they created a new section. Helped tremendously in my eyes. I noticed a surge in those topics recently here though.

Might just keep it in mind.

Yeah, things would have to be pretty nuts before I separated something out of Non-Wakeboarding discussion. Every new topic means more moderation and I don't consider moving political threads from Non-Wake to their new home something I want on my to do list unless I see some major benefits to the readers.
