Wax in Gel Coat?

I'm ordering some Silver Cloud (off-white) gel coat from Gel Coat Products in Seattle to fix a few hull dings. An option is to get (or not) wax mixed into the gel coat. Apparently, this helps the gel coat dry without necessarily covering it with the Mylar plastic. Not very sure about this, though.

Do I need or should I get wax in the gel coat or not?

I would. Done it both ways, if you are just doing a small areas the wax makes it alot easier to use. It's like filling holes in drywall. and no fuss to get it to dry.

Use no-wax in a female mold to leave a tacky surface needed to add lamination layers. Add wax for exterior finish work it leaves a smooth hard surface.
