redv215 01-30-2008 9:46 AM

We joined a WW trip to Shasta a few years ago and loved it so much that the group kept it going. This year we are few people short. We figured this was the perfect way to introduce some new blood. If you are interested please PM me and I will get you more details.
Here is a pic from last year:

Trip Dates - Friday, June 6, 2008 through Friday June 13, 2008
Location - Jones Valley Resort, Shasta Lake
Boat- Oddyssey
Cost - $750 per person (includes lodging, food, beer and gas for 3 wake boats and houseboat)

buzz_grande 01-30-2008 11:30 AM

My name is Buzz, and I'm a houseboat-a-holic.

Tate,

I am surprised we were not able to fill this with our peeps. I have been bugging Sara and Dennis, but I keep getting the "thinking about it" type of response. Hey, their loss, right? They may still be in, but I told them time is short, and the spots will be snatched up pretty quick. Opening it up to our WW family is a great idea. Heck, that's how I got started in the houseboat stuff, and met all of you.

For those who have not been on a HB trip with us, or one at all for that matter, we have a BLAST! From the day I get off the houseboat, all I think about for the rest of the year is when the next trip is. I should just buy a HB and live on it. Seriously, this is a hell of a deal. Guaranteed good time. It would be great to get a couple new WWer's in our group.

Hit any of us up if you have any questions.

4 months, 9 days, 11 hours See what I mean!

BTW Tate - Thought we decided on the Corinthian. Maybe I am just confused !

buzz_grande 01-30-2008 11:40 AM

Almost forgot - females only! j/k

Adults only though. Seriously

litlone873 01-30-2008 11:51 AM

You're right Buzz, it's the Corinthian. I had a typo in my original information post and Tate just copied and pasted that info. Sorry about that.

seattle 01-30-2008 12:23 PM

What arm are you guys planning on staying on?

litlone873 01-30-2008 12:29 PM

The last two years, we've stayed pretty close to the resort and stayed on the Sqaw Creek Arm. I presume that unless "our spot" is taken or it's too crowded, we will go there again.

seattle 01-30-2008 1:08 PM

Interesting,

It sounds a little more like my speed vs last year at the spring ride. After that I realized I'm just not able to keep up with twenty somethings that party without sleep anymore.

A few of us have been trying to set something up to head back down to Shasta so we can visit Phaeton and family. I'll check with them and get back with you.

litlone873 01-30-2008 1:12 PM

I know what you mean Cliff. That's why we stay at the campground the last couple years of Spring Ride.

As for this trip, we are all 30+ yrs old, can definitely get our drink on and have a good time but eventually, we pass out.

mendo247 01-30-2008 1:13 PM

Does everyone usually get a bed?

bond 01-30-2008 1:16 PM

..Yo Cliff - lets put something together with Travis like we did a few years ago

26lacefield 01-30-2008 1:18 PM

damn that looks like one hell of a time

redv215 01-30-2008 1:19 PM

We would love to have you Cliff!

Coop...first to pay, first to pick a bunk...you wait you may sleep on the couch

litlone873 01-30-2008 2:35 PM

Our max is 14 people which means even the last person to pay gets at least a couch.

wakeboardlasvegas 01-30-2008 3:37 PM

well i wouldnt say the max is 14.. there is always room up top for tents and matresses. and hell, at this stage in the game i might just do that and save you all from the methane!!

please be advised that i will be 28 and sarah wil be the big 30!

also, i dont think renee said this but 750 would be the max you would pay, last year we got a refund over 100 i think but i am not saying that a refund is guarenteed tho

poser007 01-30-2008 3:40 PM

I will know if I am in by the end of the week. Ive been itching to get badown there.

litlone873 01-30-2008 3:47 PM

Woops, didn't mean to age you guys before your time!

This boat doesn't have room for tents up top but could handle and air mattress in the upper galley area and maybe a small one by the flying bridge. Also, the lounge chairs on top of the penthouses could be used too or removed to make room for another air mattress.

FYI.. I just heard from Dan and he's looking into it.

wakeboardlasvegas 01-30-2008 4:03 PM

also..i had to buy a new razor this year....please come with your chests shaved prior to the trip, dont wait til you get there! this includes the ladies!!!

bucnoles 01-30-2008 6:01 PM

Jonny, you picking up the tab for my unemployed ass?

wakedad33 01-30-2008 6:09 PM

Damn, I would be down but it starts the same weekend as the MN. PWT stop. Could stop by later in the week for a day visit to say hi, & have a beer if I could find you guys. Sounds FUN.....

buzz_grande 01-30-2008 6:09 PM

Jonny,

Kim and I both have BIG birthdays right before the trip too (April). Dude, sorry about the razor last year. I can imagine that trimming through my rainforest of hair took quite a toll on the razor. I am sure that Raul's armpits put a few miles on it too, as well as the ladies . Just so you know, I have been staying all trimmed up (just for you), so it won't happen again. I will bring my own just in case!

Cliff,
Don't worry about trying to keep up. I am usually the oldest one on the trip. I may not be the first one to pass out, but eventually, I do.

Dan,
If you come, we are shaving you, you hairy monkey!

redv215 01-30-2008 7:40 PM

Randy...definitely drop in and see us. We will have the same wake boats as in the pic.

seattle 01-31-2008 7:39 AM

Tate, and Renee,

Sent you guys a pm.

Bond,

Call me. I lost your cell number.

wakeboardlasvegas 01-31-2008 12:29 PM

so, i know the local LEO is usually cruising around but is there anything about putting up a slider that is against the rules?

seattle 01-31-2008 12:54 PM

We've set up a kicker twice on the Sac arm, and brought a rave slider down with us once on the Pit. The water patrol actually stopped and watched us hitting it for awhile one year. I don't know if they'd have issue with installing something of a more permanent design or not.

wakeboardlasvegas 01-31-2008 1:28 PM

not sure on the design but that is encouraging to here

dirwoody 01-31-2008 1:43 PM

I'm giving it some serious thought, could you shoot me some details, or at least your e-mail. It wasn't in your profile

Jeremy, I'm working on gettin back out to vegas, I'll look you up when I do

Those already committed to going so far:

Me & Tate (Sacramento), Jonny & Sarah (Las Vegas), Ian & Cathy (Sacramento), Buzz & Kim (San Diego).

seattle 01-31-2008 7:11 PM

Renee,

I see Tate was boarding today. I left a pm explaining our situation earlier and hadn't heard back.

I'm in with a few people and we're on shortened leashes (wives) I can explain off line. We're going to have to get our own boat, but if you'll have us we'd love to tag along.

Give me a shout if you can.

206-391-2285

cathy 02-01-2008 10:35 AM

We had so much fun last year, can't wait till June! We'll try not to set the BBQ and Tri-tips ablaze this time!

buzz_grande 02-01-2008 12:38 PM

Mmmm! Tri tip! I liked it well-done!

Can't wait. OK, who's in? Lots of maybes. Just do it. Getting closer.

4 months, 5 days, 10 hours!

guido 02-01-2008 3:54 PM

seattle 02-01-2008 4:58 PM

No maybe's here. Me and four others are confirmed as of today.

Three of us from the north, Christie F from the bay area, and Scotty D. from Vegas.

We're goin goin... back back... to Shasta Shasta.

wakeboardlasvegas 02-01-2008 5:28 PM

is there More Bounce in California?

ian30 02-01-2008 5:32 PM

There is no More Bounce in California - that was sooooo two years ago. Please move on.... let it gooooooooooooooo! If you ever want to play that again - snort some salt and put lemon juice in your eye - it's more soothing. Who does that anyway??

wakeboardlasvegas 02-01-2008 5:38 PM

everyone!!

cathy 02-01-2008 5:42 PM

Do we have a full boat?

wakeboardlasvegas 02-01-2008 5:51 PM

we need confirmation from the powers that be but i think there is 1 more spot and then anyone else would be an added bonus, but will most likely be "roughing it" so to speak

poser007 02-01-2008 6:24 PM

I always liked that song More Bounce in California

litlone873 02-02-2008 8:21 AM

Ok, here is what I know.

Jerry is in, check is in the mail for full amount.

Cliff and friends are coming, but it's my understanding they are bringing a pontoon boat and will be crashing on that. Cliff, please confirm.

I have a few people other people that have expressed interest so as soon as I know for sure what's happening with Cliff's group I can answer better.

cathy 02-02-2008 8:26 AM

Cool! Sounds like it's shaping up to be another great trip!

seattle 02-02-2008 10:17 AM

Hey Renee,

Your correct, we'll be staying the 6th through the 9th. We rented a 30' deck boat for sleeping arrangements so we don't over run your boat with a bunch of dudes. Tate was going to look into possibly having us buy in on the food ect and let me know.

I haven't heard back from Bond, but I did talk to Pheaton. His family lives in Redding, and their definitely planning on hooking up with us. He works for Sky Ski so he'll probably have some skis for us to play around with if anyone wants to try one out.

litlone873 02-02-2008 10:38 AM

Thanks Cliff.

So here is what we have confirmed:

Renee & Tate (upper stateroom)
Buzz & Kim (upper stateroom)
Ian & Cathy (lower stateroom)
Jonny & Sarah (lower stateroom)
Jerry (penthouse) as soon as his check arrives
That's 9 people.

We still have room for 5 more people. The penthouses (2 of them) are supposed to fit 2 people each so Jerry might have to bunk up with someone (Sara??). Then there are the couches that I think are supposed to fit 2 each, but really, only one. There is room on the floor and up top in the upper galley area as well as the loung chairs above the spa and maybe room for a single near the flying bridge for those willing to "rough it".

And for those wondering... no, there is not a price break for "roughing" it. Same price for everyone.

redv215 02-02-2008 11:46 AM

Chris and his his girl friend Kimberly have sent in a deposit. He goes by deepstructure here on WW. So we are @ 11! Everyone say hi and Chris we look forward to meeting you in June.

kimmy 02-02-2008 1:21 PM

Hey, Tate:

I would love to grab a crew together and meet up with your crew on the weekend. I moor my houseboat at Silverthorn which is right around the corner from Jones Valley. I can fit about 15 people on my houseboat. It's a small one but a nice little HB. Keep in touch with me, send me an email and I can locate you guys on the lake. Do you go down Pit or Squaw?

Also if you boat gets overloaded, I can always take some. I charge $75.00 a person no matter how days on the lake, everyone brings their own food and drinks.

hollister 02-02-2008 1:33 PM

So nice to know I won't be couchin it this year, I don't even care if I have to share a bunk, but there are some disqualifying characteristics i will have to screen... I'll be accepting applications. whats up with sara anyway, "maybe". Buzz you gotta work on that 1. Counting down the days... already getting excited to go. can't wait to see everyone... & can't wait for the shasta butta

redv215 02-02-2008 1:42 PM

Kimmy - That sounds awesome. We would love to meet up with as many as want to come out. Cliff and friends are going to meet us too.

We usually just go up to the end of Squaw arm. I will definitely keep in touch and we will see you out there.

seattle 02-02-2008 4:34 PM

Sweet,

Chris Stack and Kim are coming!

Kimmy, drag that loaf Paquette up for the weekend. He was the first WW'r I ever met up with at Shasta back in 03.

phaeton 02-04-2008 7:04 AM

We will be there at least on the weekends unless Ryleigh is competing somewhere.

The lake is finally coming up. Still almost 100' down though. With all the snow we received last week it should be rising fast once it warms up.

Looking forward to meeting and seeing everyone.

Looking forward to seeing everyone again!

jarrod 02-04-2008 8:42 AM

redv215 02-04-2008 1:12 PM

It is shaping up to be an awesome trip. We are looking forward to seeing everyone. There are only a couple of spots left so if you are thinking about coming let us know soon or the spots may be gone.

eastbayrider 02-04-2008 1:39 PM

Hey Tate I'm from Nor cal, Disco Bay. My wife and I would love to go. We know Kimmy she came to our wedding just before moving down south. Never towed my boat that far but would be willing. How much would you charge us for day trips? We have to shore camp. We have a baby now, and want her to be the next extreme baby wake boarder. So we are getting her started early.
What better way to start her photo album than with a House Boat trip. Anyway we would pay for our time on the HB but would shore camp. Plus I have a boat to help with pulls for others.

redv215 02-04-2008 2:15 PM

M.Scott...you have email

poser007 02-04-2008 8:02 PM

buzz_grande 02-04-2008 10:42 PM

Dan,

What are we going to do about you? Dang! Heal up dude.

seattle 02-05-2008 5:40 PM

I've got two more coming. We're officially renting a house boat out of Bridge Bay now.
