I am toying with the idea of adding an onboard charger. I think this would be straight forward (Probably still is) if not for the Blue Sea Add a Battery system that I have. I am trying to figure out the best way to wire it. I understand that similar questions have been asked but nothing that I searched included the add a battery. Which option would work best. Please keep in mind that the leads coming off the onboard charger will not reach my house batteries. I have the same setup and use a promariner prosport single bank charger wired like option 3.

pro marine or guest is the only chargers to buy these days

I've got battery tenders. They make different amp chargers for different applications.

I think Dual Pro is hands down better than Pro Marine or Guest. <BR> <BR>Dual Pro's are used in Bass Boats with 36v trolling motors that run down 3 batteries in a day and they have to ready to go the next morning. <BR> <BR>(Message edited by murphy8166 on February 16, 2010)

Actually the majority of high end fishing boat will use a Xantrex charger/inverter in association with Shorepower at dock. That is pretty common knowledge among those who run is the Bertram and Hatteras circles. <BR> <BR>No offense, but I don't consider a $300,000 fishing boat to be the "high end" of fishing boats. <BR> <BR>Even the Fountain 38 with trips which is in the $300k ball park uses Dual Pro. As the placement of the charger extend the 110v <BR>trunk to the location of the charger that you place close to the systems. ta ta
